Market Sales Cap

Recommended Posts

After this recent glitch that duplicated items, we have all been resigned to watch prices fluctuate and wither. Those items that were duplicated destroyed their current prices which undermined any attempt for anyone to craft those items when they could easily buy them for so much cheaper.

Here is the idea:

Average the amount of materials and parts needed to build item "X" (minus 10%). This amount is the bottom line price in which the game will auto purchase item "X".

This will ensure that players will receive all or most of their resources back on the sale of their crafted item. It will encourage crafting and continued playing. It will also protect players against the flooding of certain items due to glitches. It will also allow a way to stabilize inflation of credits as players will empty their credits into a buying bot instead of continuing to keep it in circulation from player to player. This will encourage more player spending in real life money as well. It will also make the price of all items and resources consistent.

This would impact the currency supply, which I'm sure the devs have already modelled out into the future with inflationary and deflationary factors counterbalanced.

Part of the game is the ability to make offers, players without patience get penalized.

Ideally, a FAIR market system is easy to establish: simply make buying and selling mutually exclusive.  This would prohibit price gougers from artificially inflating the market and should let supply and demand dictate market prices.  Please be advised that many individuals exploit this system daily, placing an item for sale and then placing several orders for said item to drive up the sale price.  Currently, all legendary items have risen by 400 coins from one month ago.  Check the crossout database website and view one-month trends to verify my claims if you desire to do so.  Should there be checks and balances in the market system?---If this game exclusively used in-game currency and did not involve real-life transactions, I would be more inclined to say, "no." As a paying customer, I would rather that the company that issues the currency place some balances on the market system. Your thoughts are always welcome...

That screen perfectly illustrates the stupidity of people.  You can sell for 65 and buy for 42 ON THE SAME SCREEN!  Yet people are still dumb enough to buy for the high price and sell for the low.

Mostly from the new required resources to get epics and legendaries (= more grinding to get the same item).
