Cross out lottery

Recommended Posts

An idea that I would like to discuss and get feedback.

We all know the market can slump at times. How about a lottery to help boost certain parts of it.  The prize could be anything, from parts to resources or coins. It's the cost that would boost the market.  Even if you took gas or copper and made that cost a ticket at least there would be a demand for it.

What do you think?

Like "win 1000 electronics, buy 3 tickets a day maximum.  Cost 100 scrap, 800 copper and 100 wire."

What a dumb idea.... Oo

The absolute negation of gaming.

Even a carot can win at this "game". Not to say that some states begin fo forbid it.

Add this to The Document, but in a deep hole , behind the door, you know where.

Spoiler

Ha ha wow. I just thought it could boost the copper market at least but yeah I hear ya.

From my point of view you can`t really boost ressources with actions like this. You should boost them with their necessity. You should made the ressource attractive and don`t hide it behind a paywall or more worse, behind gambling.

I guess the whole "Lets stop hooking kids on gambling through gaming" meme got lost somewhere in translation.

Or do you just not read the news?

Well maybe providing decor through a higher copper crafting would help.  I be just miss the old days where doing raids for copper was worth it and fun.  My Leviathan had 6 battles a day.

I agree with the responders saying we need less gambling in this game/gaming, however IF they did this, remember it's Gaijin we are talking aout here.

Their idea of a "valuable" reward is that awesome prize we get for earning ~ million rep and Prestiging.

Either a worthless blue container, or in one case, NOTHING.   :DD

I don't understand why people react so bad when you proposed to invent a lottery. It could be as an addition for the game, I mean you don't lose anything, you just spin to win and nothing more. I saw many games that included adds like lottery, roulette, slots, bones and many other gambling things. It is a normal thing and nobody asks you to take the money from your pocket and give them, everything is made for players and for better experience, more things to do has the game, more interesting it becomes.

"The house always wins" is a phrase that exists for a reason and even if I wanted to "spin and win" I would go to a casino or play an actual online gambling game. The fact that you consider it a "normal thing" is a testament to just how polluted the video game industry has already become.

In short;

Gambling is an addictive practice.

Most video game target audiences are kids and young adults.

These two things should not mix.

I login to Crossout to PLAY! CROSSOUT!, you know, craft ride destroy; not to play slots...

I see no point in adding any more gambling to this game apart from praying on the weak who are unable to resist the temptation.
