Survivors! We have already announced our plans for reworking the system of seasons and daily challenges. You can learn more about this in one of our previous blog entries. And today it's time to share more details about the nature of future tasks, the planned rewards, as well as a number of other equally important changes. Ok, here we go!

Let's start with seasons. As you know, seasons will be replaced with weekly tasks. One of the main objectives that we set for ourselves is to replace the old system of seasons with a new one, which will give players more freedom in choosing tasks and rewards, as well as increase their diversity. At the beginning of each week, all survivors will be given a set of tasks for different activity types, and completing them will yield a special resource — ‘Engineer badges’. The badges are an untradeable resource and they can be kept in your storage forever. Previously, a survivor could fail to complete all the tasks in a season and miss the final reward, but now the required number of badges can be accumulated gradually, without worrying about the time limit. The new system, unlike the current seasons, does not force you to complete absolutely all tasks and in strict sequence. Players are free to determine their order or, if desired, ignore some of them (however, the badges for these tasks, of course, will not be awarded). Each task can be performed only once a week. Having accumulated a sufficient number of badges the player will be able to choose the desired reward and exchange the badges for it. So what kind of tasks and rewards are you going to see?

At the moment the list of planned weekly tasks is as follows:

  • Win 8 battles in missions with scrap metal as a reward. Reward: 100 badges. The tasks is available from level 4 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 6 battles in easy raids. Reward: 100 badges. The tasks is available from level 4 of the Engineers faction.
  • Take a ‘prize’ (1-4) spot in the brawl ‘Battle Royale’. Reward: 100 badges. The tasks is available from level 4 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 15 battles in the mission ‘Get the wires!’. Reward: 150 badges. The quest is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • Take the ‘prize’ (1-4) spot in brawls 9 times. Reward: 150 badges. The quest is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 10 battles in the ‘Invasion’. Reward: 150 badges. The quest is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 10 battles in a normal difficulty raid with copper as a reward. Reward: 150 badges. The quest is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 10 battles in a normal difficulty raid with plastic as a reward. Reward: 150 badges. The quest is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • Win 20 battles in the mission ‘Get the batteries’. Reward: 450 badges. The task is available from level 5 of any advanced faction (‘Lunatics’, ‘Nomads’, ‘Scavengers’).
  • Win 10 battles in a hard raid with electronics as a reward. Reward: 450 badges. The task is available from level 5 of any advanced faction (‘Lunatics’, ‘Nomads’, ‘Scavengers’).
  • Win 10 battles in a hard raid with copper as a reward. Reward: 450 badges. The task is available from level 5 of any advanced faction (‘Lunatics’, ‘Nomads’, ‘Scavengers’).
  • Win 10 clan battles. Reward: 450 badges. The task is available if the player is in a clan and has an armored car with at least 6000 PS.

The proposed rewards, which can be obtained in exchange for badges are as follows:

  • 500 units of scrap metal for 300 badges.
  • 200 units of copper for 300 badges.
  • 500 units of wires for 500 badges. The reward is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • 250 units of plastic for 500 badges. The reward is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • ‘Wanderer's crate’ for 600 badges. The reward is available from level 10 of the Engineers faction.
  • 200 units of electronics for 800 badges. The reward is available from level 14 of the Engineers faction.
  • 200 units of batteries for 800 badges. The reward is available from level 14 of the Engineers faction.
  • ‘Pathfinder's crate’ for 3000 badges. The reward is available from level 14 of the Engineers faction.

Let's move on to the changes in the daily challenges. Now every player has the opportunity to get a new daily challenge awarding scrap metal every day. After the rework, each survivor will immediately get several simple tasks with scrap metal as a reward. If all tasks are completed during the day, the player will receive more scrap metal, compared to the old system of daily challenges. The tasks will be updated daily, their progress will not carry over to the next day.

Please note that the current system of rewards for logging into the game every day will also be changed. We plan to replace it with a new daily challenge, which will be automatically completed as soon as the player enters the game.

The new list of planned daily challenges is as follows:

  • Log into the game. Reward: 40 units of scrap metal.
  • Win 5 battles in missions or brawls. Reward: 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Win 3 battles in raids. Reward: 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Win 5 battles in missions / raids using a certain type of weapon (machine guns, shotguns or cannons). Reward: 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Complete 1 operation on the market. Reward: 25 points of scrap metal.
  • Complete 5 daily challenges. Reward: 75 units of scrap metal.

Note that all of the above tasks will be issued once each day.

The weekly tasks will also offer one additional challenge for the most active players: ‘Complete 25 daily challenges’. Reward: ‘Miner's container’. The task is available from level 1 of the Engineers faction.

In addition, we plan to rework the limits on resources that can be obtained by participating in Missions (PvP).

The limits on resources obtained from missions are currently weekly:

  • Scrap metal: 2800 units / week.
  • Wires: 2450 units / week.
  • Batteries: 1225 units / week.

After the rework, weekly limits will be replaced by daily limits and will look like this:

  • Scrap metal: 500 units / day.
  • Wires: 400 units / day.
  • Batteries: 200 units / day.

As you may have noticed, an active playstyle will be noted and rewarded accordingly, and with the new system of resource limits players will be able to get more resources during a week of active play.

That's all for today. Follow the news to be up to date on current announcements and never miss early information on the future update 0.9.110.

Please note that the plans described in this article are preliminary and may change in the development process or never make it into the game.

Also note that the system of seasons and daily challenges is undergoing substantial changes, and further adjustments are possible both in tasks and in the rewards.
