How would the controls work for this mode? Say you get killed by a sideways mounted hover and you're in a normal wheeled build. Your controls would be completely out of whack to how your newly spawned sideways hover would work. Hell even if its the other way round and you kill a sideways hover they now have to drive a wheeled build with controls not set up for it. 

Unless it just means those builds would become unusable except for the original player as his team mates would be like drunks out on a friday night and all over the place. 

 

Other than that it does sound like a fun idea, a bit like crossout tag.

Yes, it's quite similar to Tag, and a related game called Sardines. :)

Correct. It will work the same as test-driving on the exhibition: you just become a broadside-build.

A bigger concern involves co-drivers which give a greater mass limit. If you make use of a +500kg mass limit and kill players which do not have that type of co-driver skill, they will respawn with an overweight vehicle & be nearly immobile (until an enemy shoots off 500kg). Only experienced, high-end players are likely to experience this - it is in their interest to use a blueprint that everyone else can drive, to recruit the most effective army.

relying on the park will be a weakness for your own "team".

maybe have players inherit the current skills and vehicle of their killer ?

This would be nice. 

 

The inherited vehicle, in case of it being a sidewards build, could be rotated by making the default direction the direction of the movement parts. Problem would still be that you would have to define the front end. 

 

Maybe give the player an option to rotate the vehicles default forward to their choosing.

give free rotation of movement parts and cabs too = no more problem

Sounds like a lot of fun. Would love to play this.

My concern would be the controls. So if I play with race controls and someone else plays with a different control scheme than the buttons usually transfer over weird. 

 Maybe game could add an option in the pause menu to customize the buttons to your vehicle while on game. 

But this sounds like it would be a real hoot! Would love to play this!

I really like this.  +1,000.  Do it.

Edit, Rewards:  None, this looks like a fun Custom style match (You could even set up in Custom) but if it's a Game Mode, with rewards, I'd rather see it as an Event.

It would be perfect for the Ravagers, so make the crate Ravager's stuff.  Other than that, yeah.  I'd play the heck out of this.

Wouldn't this be prone to abuse?  Lesser PS players rush in and die so that they re-spawn as much higher PS builds....with high PS weapons they don't own?

I like the idea, but the PS balance would need to be +/- 250 PS. (Not the 'drop whatever has been waiting longest')

...and the weapon issue.  Not sure if that would work. (Which is why they have a test server....)
