Development of co-drivers visuals.

Recommended Posts

VISUAL: I would like to SEE my co-driver in the garage. He or she can be walking about, sitting or doing some activity. It's too g*dd*mn lonely in the garage! Not even some spiders or roaches scurrying about.

ATTIRE PURCHASE: Something more to sell in the market: Co-Driver costumes. You got some schway (future Flash terminology for - COOL) wallpaper with awesome babes! My Co-driver is also awesome and would like to be seen in different outfits that I would purchase from the market or packs. These can be seasonal and event related outfit packs. For the Dudes also!

DEVELOPMENT: Co-driver development can lead to a the development of a CREW made up of mechanics, specialists, machinists etc that can be bought in the market or packs or earned through special events. Your CREW members have perks that you get on your vehicle. You can limit the amount of members in a CREW and the number of perks. This can be developed further and is not difficult to implement in the game.

I would be happy to add more to this should you be interested in this development idea.

Thank you.

I agree with you, resources should be less, especially for the last co-driver, but this is off-topic, for the visual co-drivers for me are fine, no need to change anything.

It is more likely that when the co-drivers aspect of the game is further developed, and there are more related items to craft or buy, resources for their development might be reduced.

DEVELOPMENT: It would be nice to be greeted by the co-driver or a Crew member when entering the garage.

CREW: Crew perk benefits are added to that of the co-driver where possible. A Crew requires maintenance! People gotta eat and drink right? The player will have to do missions to gather a new type of resource not yet implemented in the game : SUSTENANCE - FOOD AND DRINK. If you don't have enough SUSTENANCE crew members will become inactive, die or abandon your crew!

Mechanic can add a positive perk to engine performance: ACCELERATION or SPEED. Mechanic can have levels that scale with perks and finally give you Elite Mechanic. One example of a great perk for Elite Mechanic would be to add the use of NOS - Nitrous Oxide Systems, that give immediate one time speed boost that allows you to catch an enemy or escape. This can be a red button on the HUD with appropriate short cut key. This means that it would be an ability related to having an Elite Mechanic on your crew and not a vehicle part that you can buy like a regular booster. NOS would function as an elite engine perk.

Specialists can add a positive perk to weapons performance:  Range/cooling/armor-penetration/fire-incendiary effect/ammo efficiency/and more. Elite Specialists introduce new ammo types such as Nitrogen Infused Rounds that cause freezing and slowing in addition to normal damage.

Machinists can add a perk to Cabin: Hit points OR Tonnage OR Melee damage / Melee resistance. Elite Machinists introduce a new perk - Cabin Minor self healing of hit points over time when not taking damage (cabin glows yellow aura when re-generating hit points).

Scientist can add a perk to Energy: Increase (+1/+2) power availability of generators but with increased explosion self-damage risk. Increased duration of energy shields. Increased efficiency of parts that manufacture drones, cloaking duration, etc. Elite Scientists introduce a new perk - Self destruct into a puddle of acid!

NOTES: Devs continuously tweak weapons and parts to bring balance in the game based on the complaints of players. This new CREW System is not intended to complicate this balancing issue but to reduce it by giving the players greater opportunity to control the balancing of weapons and parts for themselves. The CREW, as described above has four members; Mechanic, Specialist, Machinist and Scientist. When these four Crew member reach elite status level you get a mission to do to give a fifth crew member - Salvager. Crew member Salvager gives you the perk to get a random bonus to the resources you get at the end of a mission. Devs can decide what this bonus might be and what the mission is.

Some ideas for you to discuss.

Thanks for reading.

I don't care about their existence, I care about the needed resources for them

Please forgive.  I like the idea, but Resources cost too much.  Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but for example... Electronics.... I get 3 for a victory..... and at 2000 to get the final, is a lot.  I do not mean to demean anyone, but since I don't have the option to Credit card the goodies, it takes a while to achieve.

And welcome to the nerfing of the ability to grind, I've got almost all my co-drivers fully upgraded but when I started you could grind electronic's in PvP but then you also had a requirement for electronic's at the 5 10 and 15th level but still you could grind them in PvP but no more..........

I'd be open to the idea of more Co-drivers to chose from.

Several weapons have no perks with any co-driver, and it would be nice to have a co-driver specialist that offers a little buff to each of my weapons.

As for how you might attain these additional co-drivers - I'll leave that open for another post.

Cosmetics for co-drivers: Not so much.  Nice idea for making $$, but I hope this isn't implemented...

It doesn't need to be a physical 3D model of the co-driver at all. We could get a still image akin to the player profiles (or like the calendar chicks we already have) just to illustrate who the hell Stone-Deaf or Jade is.

Wherever devs will put those still images are up to them, but I believe a more important feature to be added even before their costs reduction is the ability to save the co-driver WITH the blueprints so I can just load the car and play without having to worry about changing seats (or bringing the wrong dude to the fight).

Overall, +1
