Delete bridge

This is a crap map with no routes and no choices except where too camp with a long range weapon. If you dont have a long range weapon you are cannon fodder. It should be reworked or deleted.

Well I highlighted what is relevant here, by the time you got under the bridge you have been shot by someone at very long range.

 

Yeah I wish i was smart of too flank them and not take an obvious route, oh wait!

Leaving at 5 or 4 doesnt make a difference. Really there are 2 routes chokepoints, under bridge, over bridge and both can be covered at a very long range.

hum delete Crater map too, they is 0 route.. just a circle.. oh wait.. every map add his own property and strategy...? oh.. ^^

you want to delete a map because "need to play long range weapons? i want to delete all map where you need melee cameleon build (I play long range build) ^^ (its a joke, i like all the maps)

just for your information, canon prefer the bridge, but melee directly go under the bridge..

There are many options where too go on crater, not 2 chokepoints that can be covered at high range so saying it is 0 route is nonsense. Crater's property isnt that you camp at long range or be cannon fodder.

If a cannon is camping under the bridge you are still taking free damage with too much ground too cover.

Add wrecked cars to the bridge and debris piles or boats to the riverbed.

Long range vehicles still have great vantage points, but it's easier to advance if you utilize cover.

 

There's been a suggestion to open up the map at those cliffs on the sides of the river, but I don't know how much that would help. Depends on the implementation.

In Bridge there might be 2 routes but there seems to be only 2 valid strategies: Rush (slowly) or camp - Keep an eye on the enemy positions: I'd say if the enemy camps (stays behind "4" and "5" for more than a min.) then your response should be to jump, cloak or drive in cover under the bridge and start slowly rushing from there. BUT if the enemy seems to rush (in this same manner) then "1" on this map would usually be a safe route to get behind the enemy team and start flanking them from there... Unfortunately most players just stays in base or behind some hill till all their weapons and movementparts are disabled, then they selfdestruct on the spot... Mabe review your strategies before dismissing a map ;)

Sector EX is the worst map, and it should stayed an event map. Bridge is one of my favourites. And they should bring back the map with the antennas. Don't remember the name right now. "Something"-17, i think. They could keep the new version, just add the old one too.

Bridge, and Sector Ex are 2 of the maps I consider to be small enough for 5 minute 4x4.  I'd remove them from the 8v8 rotation, because they're just  too crowded with 'Bots.  However, the figure 8 is just about perfect to manage all the paths, and strategic points with only 3 players (While a fast one scouts the enemy.)  It's the large maps, with lots of cover like Fortress where you barely engage the enemy, and really start to get going when the match ends for time.  Because half of that time is spent just moving into position to fight.

Bridge is already in cw rotation. Sector EX is too far from being balanced for all weapons.

Edit: The dried up docks and the acid lake worked well in leviathan wars though.

Bridge is legit the map where CW games take the longest time to complete. Both long ranges setups and melees teams camp their spawn, the first ones to lob shots, and the second ones to wait for the storm. It's honestly an awful map.

I like the bridge map just fine, myself. Old town is the one I hate. It's too hard to navigate through. I always get killed while trying to find reverse, or I get hung up on some tiny piece of rubble...I hate it. It makes me want to just leave the game and abandon my team every time I get that one...but I don't. I want to really bad, but I don't. I usually just charge the bad guys and try to get it over as soon as possible. I think it would be great to have a map that had obstacle course garbage heaps in it, like this entire map is, so folks in tiny builds that accommodate that sort of thing could go to hide from big bad guys, but having a whole map like that is a drag. I hate Old town.

I like it, but even if you don't, there's no reason to throw out maps, just because some players don't like them.  We all have out favorites, and others we don't like so much, but we play them.  Whether we like them or not.  If there's glitches, then they have to be fixed, but I don't support getting rid of any maps.

However, I'll be willing to argue that some are better for 4v4 than 8v8, and vice versa.  I wouldn't miss it, if Bridge got moved to Clan Wars (And raids.)  I mostly have a problem with maps that aren't scaled to the number of players (And bots) on them.  For example, Sector Ex is crowded in 8v8, but not in the rotation for Clan Wars.  

Bridge is open enough in the lower lane that it doesn't get crowded, even in Raids with tens of weenies driving around, and a bunch of Wheeled drones.  There's not a lot of maps I can say that, it's versatile enough for Missions, Clan Wars, Raids, and even Races (Since it's a figure 8)  That's why I'd like to keep it, in some capacity.

I'm not saying delete it, just stating that at high PS it's awful. Too small, broken cover, only 1 route depending on your build (you don't go down there with a ranged build against dogs, and you don't take the bridge as a dog against ranged opponents because kapkans)

Wouldn't be against it being taken out of CW rotation... but it's not even the worst map :'D (just make Small town larger ffs endgame builds don't even fit in the streets... Or give us an incentive to build compact and flush)

I kinda like this aspect, because not only can you take the path which favors your build, but it also sorts out the kinds of builds you can likely expect.  (However, with Range you can also come out to the end, and cover the bridge as well as the lanes under it.  You're fairly exposed there, but there is a little cover)  Honestly, I charge diagonally across the bridge, and drop down on the moshpit, because that's where all the fun is!

I’ve been very annoyed by this map. I’ve also had multiple MVP’s. It’s basically a two-lane choke point map. It deserves a spot in the rotation.

And that is so boring, there is absolutely nothing to think about. I wish the devs would release a lot of new maps and delete a lot of the old crap.
