Crossout forum dictionary / what do they mean by that word ?

They got the name 'dog' because they essentially do what dogs do- Run at you and start gnawing on you. Just insert any weapon as the prefix and then you get that type of dog. such as Porcdog, Retcherdog, Firedog. Standard Dog (just dog, no prefix, or standard to clarify) is usually Harvester+Spark+Lancelot builds.

Harvester+Spark

A.K.A. Sparkster or Sparkvester

When you see people ranting about "press W to win" or "W+M1" builds they are referring to both dogs and wedges.

And now it seems we have;

Kiting ?

P sure Kiting means keeping an effective distance in order to prevent them from getting dangerously close but still able to shoot them. What other ppl mentioned means Baiting - luring smn into a bad situation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bunnies

A group that enters CW with sub par builds. Called bunnies because they are easy kills (usually). Not necessarily a derogatory term.

Baiting is wot it is...

Some of these other nicknames for builds and strategies are only known by a few and represent already well known terms they seek to change, such as banana vs sausage like kiting vs baiting like Reapercopter vs Reaperzepplin.

Lol

Happy grinding

It's both a noun and a verb; "Clutching". Meaning you're the last one alive and won the game with your solo effort, usually against a single enemy.

An example where the the word Clutch is used as a verb:

Fusion: two or more players connected via Contact to form one bigger craft

Ok, sorry for the semi-necrobump, but this is the comment that made me join the forums; Both that there is an awesome term that invokes using the Contact for Epic Vehicle Gattai action, and the disappointment that it's usually just one guy becoming a Super-heavy turret for another Super Heavy build...

I have an idea for a Faction where one of their gimmicks is a Synergy power-up with Contacts; Either an Engine or a Low Energy Medium Cabin to shore up their High Energy but fragile and slow Small Cabin for singular Land Ships as oppose to the Contact based Land Trains...

Crutch

crutch-banner.jpg

This means: a mechanic that is strictly necessary for you to use with a certain weapon or a certain playstyle.

Also there should totally be a Base rarity "Crutchgun," a fixed slow firing "Autocannon" that only takes one Energy but only fires a single shot before a long reload sequence.

"Steamroll"?

"Post your steamroll"

"if you just steamroll"

To steamroll is to win with excessive success over the enemy, usually with minimal loss on the own team, as to drive over someone with a steamroll.

A sweaty build is something tryhards like me use to absolutely dominate over enemies, focused on optimal efficiency and META tactics, more often than not  using OP items

CHEESE BUILD ?

To cheese something is to use cheap tactics to win, so a cheese build uses cheap tactics (like OP guns) to secure a victory over an enemy, usually requiring little effort. This is different from a sweaty build, which usually requires the player to try hard to get good results.

That's only three Parsers right?
Even then it kinda sounds like a Paper Dog, but it might be literally using the Shotguns as its Primary Armor...
