The biggest problem with PVE is too simple

Recommended Posts

Do official personnel play PVE mode in person? Because only plastic has the highest reward, many players only choose to play defense with FireWire, but the rewards for the other three players who match a porcupine player will be reduced by half. Is this a good phenomenon? The PVE mode is too simple. A slightly experienced player can pass any PVE mode with 40 fuel alone. What is the fun of a PVE mode that never fails and has no challenges? PVE just to get a little reward is not a long-term solution. Hope the official staff will take these into consideration.:003j:

I still play some raids for fun.  What you play for, the meager rewards, or fun, is totally up to you.

Honestly, it's not worth it just for the Badges any more.  At least not to me.

We have daily fuel to use, if it's a pain in the butt every day to get it done that's not good neither. I agree with @SIGMA920 it's more to farm resources and badges.

IMO a good way to make raids slightly more interesting would be to have better bosses wich are more coherent thematically, and offer better gameplay opportunities.

The Lunatics hard bosses are flame-throwing behemoths on heavy tracks. That's thematically wrong, and incoherent in terms of gameplay. I can see tons of styles of bosses wich would fit lunatics muuuuch better and provide more interesting gameplay:
-Fixed shotgunner on small tracks. Growl/Werewolf, rare rad and cooler, 6-8 Ruptures/Gobs and 2-4 Sledges/maces/Spitfires. Really fast and dangerous from the front, but has a narrow angle of fire.
-Rocketeer truck with Icebox/Echo. Triple Crickets, 4-6 Arothron and a Fuze for point defense, Colossus. Makes you want to hug it to avoid taking too much damage.
-Melee monster on 10 chained wheels. Werewolf, dual harvester/triple lacerator, 2 Hammerfalls, a couple Lancelots, a Skinner, a Cheetah.

Same with Nomads, wth is that ugly drone carrier? IMO they should have boss themed after planes/boats/war trucks as they're... well, Nomads. They should carry their whole village around:
-Massive truck on 10 Twin wheels, carries a water tank and some city can constructs built on it. Icebox, 12+ Protectors/Defenders around it, 1 Cyclone on the cab, 2-3 Equas on the roof, Seal. Tanky, all-around boss with no real weak point besides its average range
-Repurposed military boat on hardened tracks, covered in city can constructs. 2-3 Whirlwinds, a couple Storms, a vertical Hurricane, 6+ aerial drones. Forces you to come into drone range with its long range arsenal.
-B-52 wreck on 6+ Bigfoots, with an undermounter Reaper, another one behind the cockpit,  6+ aerial drones for escorts, and 1 Porc or a few Pyres under each wing. Just because it sounds fun.

I have a lot of problems with the Raid bosses, and a major one is there's no Faction identity.  Scarecrow can come out on Armored Tracks.  YTF is a Lunatic boss driving a Scavenger Tank?  Is that a Trucker?  You can't fool me, putting a Harvester, and some shotguns on a Trucker tanks and painting it Bladespines colors doesn't make it any less a Scavenger boss.

Also, why are Dawn's Children using Meat Grinders now?  Don't they have Hovers?

count me in the group that would rather not do raids at all. No mater how they do raids I hate being forced to play against AI.

For me personally they could remove raids and adventure mode from the game and I wouldn’t even notice.

Raids definitly need to be harder and more unpredictable, but also more rewarding at the same time

Currently raids are basically oh camp here and kill 500 hp each raiders that just brainlessly rush at you

Raids just need removed. Simple fix.

Waisting Dev team time on the most pointless part of the game is not something many of us want to see.

They cant even balance PvP...

Only got the first part right. They are about trying not to fall asleep. The rewards are for you menaging to stay awake.
But it's not easy.
Raids in XO cured my insomnia.

Raids are setup so all players can play.  For new or newer players, raids can be good challenge.  For us been in the game for number of years, it is out of date.  It would be nice if there is another game mode option to use our daily fuel.

I guess Invasion could be considered that, but the reward isn't very good, and the wait times are long.

Told devs in april when they made all raids all (https://forum.crossout.net/index.php?/topic/311296-raids-are-too-easy-now-devs-buffraids-no-april-fool-joke-btw/)
talked about the resource difference per raid type in may (https://forum.crossout.net/index.php?/topic/312359-unfair-rewards-in-raids/)
2 years ago ... we agreed that raids are boring (https://forum.crossout.net/index.php?/topic/292398-raids-make-sleepy-edit-2-years-and-still-boring/) (and nothing changed)
also talked about and porcs in raids somewhere ... but i cannot find it anymore.

So ... nothing will change, i guess.
Best you can do is:
- play MGs|Miniguns (to be able to do as much dmg as possible)
- try to hit every enemy once (seems to work but no proof)
- play (tower)defence (cant remember the correct name in engl) for most resources reward on electronics|plastic
- play breach(thingy) or steel craddle (factory map) for copper (copper is cheap, so do something fast)
- ... or play porcs :D

BTW: about "is it worth it"

If it is. Then, it should be updated.
