Why does a game with a lot of lore behind it have next to no actualy gameplay based on the lore?

Come on devs put some effort into it

Maybe they can add new missions or quests, additional story, side story, or new interactions or jobs which players can enjoy but

First of all, battle is too boring. Yes. Basic element of Adventure is PVE and it is fuxking boring.
Enemies are too dumb and weak. Fighting them is not challenging. Even boss fight is too plain and boring.

I don't sure they can improve bots and PVE, especially boss fight.

I don't think there will ever be adventure episode 2 and Loyd will laugh at us forever.

As of now, the Adventure mode only features a single map, that although is pretty huge, may not be enough to fully develop the story of the game. The missions that are currently in the game have already kinda exploited the whole map. I think that in order to include something more in terms of story missions and lore, they would have to expand on the mode itself greatly first - by adding more maps and introducing more gameplay features into the mode itself.

I actually made quite a suggestion on that a few days ago that is sitting there hidden, might as well post the link to it in case some mod or dev actually visits this topic https://forum.crossout.net/index.php?/topic/314622-make-the-adventure-mode-into-a-copy-of-star-conflicts-open-space-mode/  I brought very little original content to the suggestion itself though - I only transformed into Crossout a mode that the developers themselves have already made, but in another game.

I really want to learn about the origin of the Ravagers and the Crossout virus. I also would like to see the factions fleshed out. I would like to know about their values, strategies, behaviors, and personalities as well as their history.

Adventure mode for khajiit is much boring. world too small, everything looks the same. nothing to do. missions r boring and garbage and nothing to explore. its HORRIBLE. the devies need to do a complete rework! :zlo:

Honestly just the side quests suck. They, for the most part, have meager rewards for a dull task that takes no actual focus on the game.

I just did my weekly Adventure mode badges.  The side quests are grindy, but pretty quick (45 minutes for 20?) to grind through, with a reasonably fast car.  (Blight/OPpressor)

Just comparing those badges to the equivalent 6 battles in easy raids, for Copper?  I'd rather do the side missions.  They pay slightly better in Matts, too.

Lol in 45 minutes I can group up and do batteries weekly + maybe even wires weekly

Dont see what you mean by quick

And you can farm 6 easy raids in like 15 mins

we got to many to time consuming raids as it is. Adventure mode should have been a pvp mode from the start...

Let's be blunt... adventure mode is a nice toy to have. Sometimes quite enjoyable and if you see it as story and not hardcore battle or whatever, it's a free game in the game. But... since it's bots and not PVP and no major rewards that would make ppl want to beat it hard, there is no way to monetize it, advertise the game by streamers and so on. Makes it pretty low priority.

Adventure mode is a waist of time, and lucky for us the dev team already said they are NOT spending time on this mode.

A game with a lore about gigantic vehicles, multiple factions, raiders, wars between sides, on a world, where survivors have to roam the world to find resources and new locations....  Limited to small closed maps...

The more you think about it, the dumber it sounds....

Adventure mode could be the only reason some people tries this game if it was actually well made but nope..  They had to keep the least effort possible route

I've actually noticed a steady increase of what I'm going to call Decor, week after week.  Nothing new story wise, not even new locations to pick up side quests, but just random junk here, and there, to make the Wastes a little less empty.

Mostly just stuff like this:

1EB609F28FAE6505F3F774CD0730109FF0D7A13F

(Just happens to be my fastest car.)  Maybe it's just graphics designers getting practice, or "I rendered something, where do I put it?" but I've been doing my weeklies, and noticing little changes like this, pretty much every week.

Which isn't to say that I wouldn't love a massive overhaul, but compared to things they've hinted at over the past couple months, like a Co-drive rework, or fixing Meta Grinders?  Yeah, it would be nice to get more Story, and worldbuilding, but these things take time.

I really want portraits for Co-drivers.  For example.  Even if they don't update the skill trees right away, haven't you ever wondered what Jade or Misty looks like?

Take Ex Machina (Hard Truck Apocalypse) for example: there was an entire world to explore, each separated by a "trasition" between one map and another. Maybe that's how they can pull that off without overloading their hamster-wheel powered servers or potato engine.

:D

Yea, it is obvious that they have been adding things not significant, which help map to look more natural and less empty.

At the first, there had been no fight between bots and they updated bots in different faction which fight one another. (I don't know exact date of this update.)

Maybe, Adventure can be interesting, popular content someday, but current adventure is boring, messy, gloomy content not enough to attract players constantly.
(In fact, it helps newbies to quit Crossout earlier after they experienced the awful quality of adventure.)

In character, when I come once a week to visit my friend (Jeff) and help out.  I noticed a lot more settlements than there were, just last week...

The next obvious step would be to code an NPC, with Cargo Drops, and dialog, for each of these new spots.  It's possible, that the Devs will just drop everything for a week, brainstorm, then burn the midnight oil to massively expand this 1 Map, all at once.

Another, more likely scenario is they'll keep giving us Events, tweaking the balance, and adding stuff, to the map, as they think of it...

I want to see bigger wreckage more.
There are so many wreckage of tiny civilian vehicles. But where is big trucks? Why guns or weaponize car is so rare?

Furthermore, just picking up some resource from scrap pile on the road sounds weird.
If we can get resource from the wreckage, it will make more sense.

And i hope there are more unique objects which shows and explains the backstory, world of Crossout.
Poster or sign & mural ("we are doomed!") or billboard is common and simple example.

Or creature or livestock in cage or fence, food or restaurant, and repair shop with neon sign can tell players stories more than writing actual story.
(I loved Rapture of Bioshock and Venice of Metro Last Light.)

More Fallout style where you can chat with other wastelanders and piece together stories. That would be cool and would sure make lore only visible on this site also acessible ingame.

IMO PvE needs most of its cars redesigned to be more coherent with the lore, more pleasing to look at, and more engaging to play against.

As far as Adventure is concerned, 95% of the cars you'll wreck are tiny white Dusters or brown scav Hunstman/Fury/Bear. I'm sure you see how there's room for improvement here.

I dunno, I think Vultures should have Duster/Sprinter sandbuggies, sure, but maybe also a few lifted huntsman pickups, a couple Growl muscle cars, etc... White with turquoise stripes, etc. Lots of peoplem make pretty cars for the game and I'm sure there are ways to make better cars than what we fight, under 30-40 parts, with more varied gameplay.

Big +1.  Vultures are a paint job on top of Bladespines.  The Colosseum is completely undefended by Firestarters, and we have Firestarter's builds in PvE now.

The only thing to stop say the Scavengers, or Ravagers breaking in is that Invisible Wall across the gate.

Yes! I would like to see journal entries scattered across the map that could tell a story.

Livestock would be cool. Growing crops and water towers, and hardened defensive positions could also tell a story.

It would be kinda cool seeing passive cargo truck drive around delivering supplies to Small forge would be cool too.

This is a refinery.  A fuel refinery.  There's a group Mission to protect it from Raiders.

You think we could get Fuel for that?  Maybe a Tanker truck, just like War for Fire, and an Escort Mission to the Gas Station.

Look, it's not like we're asking for Uranium here.
