Recommended Posts

Ravens have returned to the Wasteland, survivors! In this update, you will find an event with unique rewards, new relic weapons and a large number of changes in the game balance.

Event_2_en.png

Return of the Ravens

Get unique parts now! The event will last until September 17!

Special mission “Raven's path”

  • The mission counts towards the progress of daily challenges.

  • For taking part in the mission the player receives a special temporary resource: talers.

These hexagonal coins, talers, are left from the Knechte. They were defeated by the Ravens, but they kept the currency and now sell new parts for it.

  • Talers can only be earned in this mission.

  • Talers can not be sold or purchased through the in-game market.

  • Active “Premium subscription” increases the number of talers received as a result of the battle.

  • After the end of the “Raven's Path” event, all unused talers will be withdrawn from the option to exchange them for any other resources.

  • Talers, as well as a certain amount of resources and parts, can be exchanged for goods from a special temporary workbench, “Raven Pavilion”.

Machine gun “ST-M26 Tackler”

Comment: With these changes, the machine gun will become a more accurate weapon. Its optimal firing range will also be increased — now the “Tackler” is more effective for medium and long distance fights.

  • The perk bonus now lasts 3 seconds (instead of 2 seconds before the change).

Machine gun “P-29 Protector”

  • Weapon heating speed reduced by 17%.

Guided missile “ATGM Flute”

  • Damage reduced by 22%.

  • Durability reduced by 10% (from 364 to 327 pts.).

  • Maximum bonus damage from the perk increased from 50% to 60%.

Rapid-fire machine gun “M-39 Imp”

  • Damage increased by 5%.

  • Time to barrel explosion reduced by 50%.

  • Barrel durability increased by 100%

  • Reloading time increased by 50% (from 2 to 3 seconds).

Comment: Porcupine was an extremely efficient weapon against most land-based cars. Thanks to these changes, the Porcupine will no longer be able to constantly cover whole areas with fire, but it can now aim and fire efficiently at any enemy armoured vehicles, including hovers.

Shotgun “Breaker”

my reply about toadfish not being unique in last knight riders event vanished , i predicted that it will be nerfed right after event and then apear again,

under power weapon that is not worth crafting right now (whey would have to make it fire 2 separate shots with separate mouse click like a magasine)

Ka1deron (Posted )

alpha1q, hello! Are you referring to the change in the weapon's impulse? Toadfish is still efficient due to its accuracy and it has a decent damage parameter for this weapon class

all around very interesting, couple unique items. I am wondering why the median has no perk?

is there any plans to expand the new section of scc's or is it a one off? I would love to see an epic version with a cool perk

also, major thing, where is the wedge rework? is it coming along?

Ka1deron (Posted )

Rukath, hello! As you can see, Median is a small caliber cannon, a new weapon sub class. It is possible when this branch of weapons will be developed further, the future weapons will receive various perks) As for the "wedge" changes - we are still working on them

this is stupid, for a weapon with ridiculously large hitbox and extremely low range like porcupine, hiding it under the frame is the only possible way of using it

and now you tell me you want it to launch upwards?

I seriously doubt if the dev made this decision have used porcupine for even once, you successfully change porcupine from a good vs. ground and bad vs. hover weapon to trash.

PORCUPINE!!! Why Devs WHHHYYYYY? :015_2:

NO Griffon nerf? Whyyy?

NO Mandrake nerf? Whyy?

When PS4 update?

Edited by SpeedyGonzaleo

Ka1deron (Posted )

SpeedyGonzaleo, the reasons behind the Porcupine's changes are mentioned in the comment. We have been monitoring it;s perfomance for a while and these tweaks should make the minelayer more precise without making it over - efficient

What we've been wanting the most is to address the issue of a single fuel drum tripping up a 10+ ton car like it's nothing, e.g. by making the drums burst on contact with any vehicle.

In a parallel universe, the developers playing their own game back in 2017: "This is wack, let's fix it."
In this universe, the developers chilling in a backyard pool: "If they ask, let's tell them it's a feature, LOL. Now pass me that mocahita, I'm dry." "Dude, you're so not!" "Guess I'm bugged! LOL."

The nerf&buff in this patch really feel like you just rolled dices to determine what would be affected and in which direction. I don't know who designed the data collection system you claim to use for this, but it's time to find someone else.

Anyway, as someone who play support in most online game I'm kinda happy with the addition of a new protective module that only cost one energy, although I fear it will be like the Barrier IX and have too limited of an effect to ever be worth carrying around.

Also, still no fix to sideway hovers nor wedges despite you swearing you actually had the intention to do it this time ...

If it does, dev's only made it in-line with other end-game weapons and modules. None of which works best in position it was meant to use in the first place.

Good stuff. Let me highlight the greatest hits:

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Defence module “Argus”

Arg.jpg

  • Rarity: epic.

  • PS: 275.

  • Durability of the launch module: 144 units.

  • Power consumption: 1 unit.

  • Mass: 128 kg.

  • Launches a mobile defensive drone that detects and neutralizes mines, as well as any destructible projectiles for a short time.

:good:

People have been asking for something like this and you guys delivered.

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Machine gun “ST-M26 Tackler”

  • Spread from each shot reduced by 25%.

Comment: With these changes, the machine gun will become a more accurate weapon. Its optimal firing range will also be increased — now the “Tackler” is more effective for medium and long distance fights.

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Machine gun “P-29 Protector”

  • Weapon heating speed reduced by 17%.

Comment: These changes will allow the machine gun to fire for longer and use its perk. Unlike the “Tackler”, now this machine gun is more effective in close combat.

:good:

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Guided missile “ATGM Flute”

  • Damage reduced by 22%.

  • Now the perk increases damage by 18% (instead of 12%).

  • Increased hit detection range.

Comment: “Flute” is a long-range weapon. Current tweaks are designed to reduce its effectiveness in situations where the weapon is used in close combat.

:good:

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Autocannon “Cyclone”

  • Durability increased by 10% (from 486 to 535 pts.).

“Reaper” minigun

  • Now, after releasing the fire key, the spinning barrel stops twice as slowly.

  • The time required to spin the barrel is reduced by 12%.

  • Ammo reserves increased by 20%.

Flamethrower ‘Draco’

  • Damage increased by 5%.

  • Part heating speed increased by 50%.

:good:

Cyclone needs a decent durability in order to survive due to its gigantic size. Increasing ammo is the easiest way to improve Reaper without offending anyone since even today most people who run competetive Reaper setups do so with two Expanded ammo boxes fusioned for module efficiency.

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Electric gun “Assembler”

  • Durability reduced by 22% (from 400 to 312 pts.)

  • Mass reduced by 19% (from 300 to 244 kg.)

Comment: Compared to its “sniper” counterparts, Assembler's durability parameters were too high. These changes will correct them.  At the same time, the mass of the weapon has been proportionally reduced.

:good:

Assembler is slowly finding its place as a lightweight, yet fragile sniper weapon.

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

Machine Gun “Punisher”

  • Durability reduced by 8% (from 400 to 368 pts).

Shotgun “Breaker”

  • Damage reduced by 7%.

:good:

I like the idea of Breaker being a weapon that can take a bit of punishment and survive. It's pretty much a requirement on brawling situations. Reducing the durability of Punisher makes bit worse for brawling and thus it gets pigeonholed more towards supporting teammates.

3 hours ago, SkyeShadow said:

“Porcupine” minelayer

  • Spread reduced by 50%.

  • Barrels now launch above the horizon axis.

Now this is an interesting tweak. I'll be testing this one out to see how it works. Looks really promising though.

On paper a Porcupine that's used more deliberately instead of just spamming everywhere and crossing your fingers sounds kinda cool. I never realized Porcupines have a high spread, I just thought I'm terrible at aiming with them. :DD

So another relic cannon and still no autocannon relic? It's not that hard guys, just look up "bofors mk 12 quadruple mount" for refference of what it could look like.
Also no sideways hover fix, and no wedge fix...
Aka. nothing i've been looking forward to was in the update.

Ka1deron (Posted )

AndlatAndometi, hello! We are still working on a "wedge" fix and will share more information as the development progresses. Also, Median is now included into a new subtype of small calibre cannons, so it is very possible, that this class will be developed further later in the future
