Thank you for posting this. The dev team trying to make us post at Reddit is BS.
The devs are going in the right direction with the cloak and melee/shotgun/dog nerfs. It seems like they are changing their course and I hope I can start enjoying this game again and play it with my friends from other games.
The cloak nerf is huge. The shimmer radius being increased from 70m to 100m translates to a 53% detection area increase. The ability to spot people at indefinite range without modules if they are cloaked going above a certain speed is a massive nerf to very aggressive dog players, which they have desperately needed.
I can only beg that they reverse the auger changes from nearly a year ago and they buff the fixed cannons, namely the 88, Tsunami, and Typhoon. The only reason I am not playing this game is because the only movement part I play got nerfed hard, and the only weapon I like to run got nerfed hard. Before the augers beat everything else in having a small turning radius and wicked acceleration and now they just aren’t competitive at all.
I hope these nerfs go through, and I really hope that the augers get restored to where they were. My cannons might not need a buff at all if all the dog builds get slapped down a few notches. I used to main a halftrack 88 with a humpback to good success.
After looking at this update closer and reading the feedback, I think I’m liking this update.
My overpriced Harvester got nerfed kinda hard I think, but I got it just to say I had a farm with farm equipment on it. I’m into the immersion. It really wasn’t working that great for me before so that’s going to be harsh, probably. I was using it at around 7K, I think. It wasn’t really that strong there, IMO.
I never liked the Nest, so I wouldn’t be too thrilled to see that make a come-back, but whatever. I’ll take the good with the bad. It’s all about balance.
I think these power-score adjustments are going to shake things up a bit. I hope that falls into shape the way the developers want it to, because I think they are aiming the right direction with this update.
I caught a couple nerfs, but they did buff a lot of stuff in my inventory this time around, so it’s hard for me to be too offended by anything in this update, I guess.
Nerfing those Borers and the spitfires is something I’ve been hoping for too. Those things were just too much, IMO. I’ve been crying about those for months.
I have my fingers crossed. I think it looks good.
Hello devs, for the draco I think you just have to mount the ps of the weapon rather than the nerve, this weapon is used a lot in CW by small teams that don’t have firebugs.
Cordially
Draco Nerf is TOO MUCH… That along with the cloak nerf and you are eliminating an entire play style from the game… Especially in CW where hovers and spiders already dominated top 30… Literally one of the only weapons and THE ONLY PLAY STYLE that wheel builds can compete with in top 30…
if your going to nerf the Harvestor you need to remove the need to have Spark/Flash
Good.
Splendid.
Bad.
Bad.
Good.
I play fortunes a good bit. They don’t really need this buff. It’s basically just reverting on one of its old nerfs. It’s a welcome change for me none the less.
It looks like with this patch they are making a play at taking firedogs and shotties down a notch as a whole. This is probably a necesarry route.
They buffed crap guns so they are less crappy. Cool. 17% dmg buff on stillwind is a lot. That should be neat to see.
I’m not sure harvester needed that durability nerf. I feel like they will have to revert that in peticular.
Overall I think I like most of these changes. There’s a lot though. This is a pretty big patch.
Glad to see them finally bumping up the damage of ACs that have been under-preforming, especially with the tweaks to damage models.
Fortune buff is nice as I just went back to using them now and then.
Radiator/Shotgun interaction changes seem… well, I’m not sure until I try it, I suppose.
Cloak change sounds meh.
I am very concerned about the 17% buff to the Stillwater. That is a huge buff to a very powerful weapon.
Direct damage buff should be maybe at max 8% on it.
The last buff to its explosion put it in a pretty sweet spot. (not in CW’s though)
Just my opinion.
The rest all seemed pretty decent starting points to what goal were stated.
The game needs balance changes a bit more often, so it doesn’t get so stale.
Fortune is already over powered, this buff is very unnecessary.
I have a feeling that it’s lack of effectiveness has more to do with it’s very random accuracy. lol… I’d agree that they do pack a good punch when they hit.
First three CW games yesterday:
First team full triple draco (one with dual draco + Flash)
Second team three triple dracos + a porc kapkan hover
Third team four triple dracos
Amount of dracos met in 3 games: 32.
It kept going like this for pretty much the whole session for good reasons. Dracos are extremely smoothbrain to use compared to how effective they are. I played against dracos that own Firebugs yesterday, I know they do.
I’d lie if I said it was a massive problem for us. We pretty much play to screw flamer teams lmao, and had a pretty good winrate against those derps, with lower tier weapons. But I can’t stress enough how much communication and coordination we need (and specific builds) to counter 4 kids who just ram the first red name they spot with no plan or coordination, just because it allows them to play faster CW games, leading to more ressources at the end of the session. And lets not get into a debate regarding the amount of skill needed to run three dracos (+ a flash) and a porc kap hover lol. There might be other weapons combos that require less skill to use in the game… But I can’t think of any lol.
Now, if only we could get a Fortune CK and a proper co-driver perk for it, we should be good!
Would love a fortune CK
Some of these changes look nice. Some of them are way out in left field.
Ya I’m not getting the harvester nerf. I hardly ever see them. When I run mine it falls off with a couple collisions with a wedge. Or hitting someone’s explosives it falls off. It’s going to be super weak now
Yeah, I have two fused ones and every once in awhile I will get them out for a few games, get a few kills and a couple of giggles then put them away because they feel so much weaker then builds I have at the same PS level.
There was a time harvester was WAY Op at low PS, but that time is loooooooong gone
I wouldn’t say they are op at all. Their last nerf was kind of pointless. Either way it doesn’t make much of a difference and fortunes for me will be basically the same.
so why do you suppose the top 30 clans dont have a problem with dracos? probably because they work as a team using meta spider builds, punishers, and porcs? get good and stop complaining…
