Changes in the mechanics of projectile damage. second stage of testing

Oh, they got a ton of buffs directly and indirectly.
I’ll explain.

Indirect Buff: This buff to cannons will help hover cannons.

indirect buff: hover builds have very light armor. They gave the greatest buff to light armor parts. This is really going to help cannon hover most of all.

Indirect buff: Because of hovers being higher then ground builds, this change will help hovers absorb damage with the frames and not have the damage pass through to the inside of the build.

This is a direct buff.

This is a direct buff

Indirect buff: Got to love fast and zippy light and medium hover builds.

You are correct that they get a speed and height nerf, but if we get all the above instead I’ll take it!

Just checked it’s only one in total.

Well, that kind of sucks then.

I do think one of each would be fair.

You could have enough for redundancy but not enough to straight up use as armor.

I’d agree.

I’ve exploited that to great personal benefit over the years… they’re great armor & look cool spinning away like weird wheels on the side of your rig. I’ll bet the price of them drops in the market as people sell off the extras.

This is also a buff to other movement parts that are higher than regular wheels… Big Foot, Slepnier, Augers, Legs…

Not disagreeing, but I think hovers will benefit the most.

You can tank attacks right into the bottom of your build. It’s not just spaced armor that makes hovers OP.

Anyone else try the test server? Would love to hear more about how things are feeling.

ya…i’m seeing lots of hover frame builds …
if this happens we can’t kill hovers…at all !!
going to have to play 1k ps

For sure… the higher you are, the more you benefit. One of my dailies is frame-heavy, and it isn’t a hover. It’s on gun-mount wheels, which are only slightly higher than most. Still, it allows me to mount components half hidden by the frames.

Long time ago i came from a game where concealment was a thing, detection ranges and so on, radar was the exception, the few builds that had them payed in other ways for balans.
It was a dangerous game, stealth radars and so on .
You should have seen my face when i saw entire builds covered with radars when i first started.

But i’ve seen people with two radar for redundancy. i don’t see why they have to be limited with one.

I am happy they are finally normalizing decor parts.

As for Radar, I am not sure they need to be limited, but there are other ways to have “back up” radar. They simply mean an energy choice.

Back up radar…

Maybe more people will use the radios after this.
