This CW rework is long overdue and interesting.
Am I reading it correctly and thinking that we can now compete in this new CW without being in a group? If so, that might finally get me playing it again.
We strongly recommend that survivors update their GPU drivers. This could significantly affect game performance and visuals after the release of the update.
Swell. I’m using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050; drivers are updated as far as they ever can be.
Remember the first announcement mentioning something about “before and after”? Now I’m wondering if that refers to player headcounts.

Graphics update huh, my lack of excitement for this is double layered. If my current setup just fails at running the game, I am not skibidi-aaah going to mcinvest on an entirely new machine just to have the “priviledge” of playing this dumpster fire. Same if it runs bad because of it, just nah.
Second, what good does better graphics even do? A pile of shit is still going to be a pile o shit even if you make it shinier, sure cool for things to look better but it won’t address any of the major core issues no amount of polishing or shiny new paint job will fix.
All in all I hope it’s just a graphics update rather than a complete overhaul (for the worse) of everything like Supercharged was.

Instead of overhauling the graphics, how about overhauling the method for attracting and retaining players, so we have a REASON for overhauling the grahics?

Not a potato, but originally it was a Windows 7 machine from 2015, upgraded to Windows 10. I was going to get a new one this fall, but I really detest what Windows 11 is, with all the tracking, snooping, codriver, AI bullsh!t et. al.
Thinking that we can now compete in this new CW without being in a group? If so, that might finally get Manage PayByPlate MA account me playing it again.

That’s how I am reading this too, and if we are both correct, this seems like really big news, and something that could be really good for the game.
Much more newsworthy than a graphics update.
