You are a much more skilled player than me, and you play much more competitive builds than I typically do, and yet I’m still able to have fun and not get instantly slaughtered the way you describe.
Am I actually much better than I thought? Probably not.
Are console players really that bad that I’m just not facing the same skill level you guys see on PC? It’s possible, but unlikely there would be that much of a difference (other than that some builds and playstyles are going to be weaker/stronger with a controller).
I’m pretty sure the only big difference is mindset and attitude. I can actually have fun if I get destroyed 20 seconds into a match. It’s usually a shock (because it’s not actually that common), but then I give my respects to my murderer, and go back to the garage to figure out where I went wrong.
Law of averages say that an average player like me will win and lose a roughly equal amount, over a large enough number of matches. If you’re getting slaughtered in 85% of your matches, you’re probably just not as good as you thought, or you’re just in a losing streak.
Yes, many of the items in Crossout are not currently part of the meta. Doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with them, and doesn’t mean you can’t win with them.
If you’re trying to grind uranium, you’ll need to pay attention to the meta, but from what I can see, less than 10% of the players are even trying to get uranium, which leaves a lot of fun to be had with supposedly bad weapons.
I mean, I’ve seen you post before about the practice of skilled players challenging themselves by using bad weapons. Why is it so crazy that average players like me might also enjoy that? Or players less skilled than me?
Normal PVP and PVE is pretty much a dice roll when it comes to wins, unless you’re part of the 1% of the most skilled players.
Honestly, I think you are greatly exaggerating how competitive a typical Crossout match is. Even the competitive modes aren’t that hard to have some success with.
I pretty much always manage to get some Uranium in BfU (assuming I’m not busy with life), and I can’t remember the last time I ran a meta build to do that. I also had no problem getting into the top 200 of Rust and Dust each week, and got into the top 100 a bunch of times. And I do that playing my dumb art builds using whatever weapons I felt like using that week.
The whole point of playing a game like Crossout is to kill some time having fun. If you are failing to have fun, you are failing at the game. The person who only plays drones in Patrol and who loves every minute is succeeding more at the game than every Clan Wars veteran who spends all day venting on the forum about balance.
could say the same for you and your dollar store insults lol ![]()
unlike you i dont bend over and kiss the game devs rears.
why do you think that is?
because its filled with endless battlepasses filled with overpowered weapons and whatnot?
because theres no new modes ever added to the game permanently?
because all blueprints for new weapons and whatnot arent permanent?
your rage baiting is cringe, please learn what keeps a videogame alive and good then come back and talk to me.
by all means be my guest and leave.
nobody is trying to make you respond to me with your cringe ragebait replies.
yes you do that. it appears your hobby is rage baiting.
not everyone is going to be happy with changes the devs make. as a community we have a right to voice our concerns and dislikes of the game. there is stuff i like about the game but alot i dont like because of the devs decisions. if they did stuff for the players instead of trying to stuff their own pockets all the time with money then i wouldnt complain as much.
really though, do you think i want to see the game die?
i like crossout, it can be fun at times but for the most part it can be tedious and frustrating, especially when the devs and the publisher dont listen to their community.
look, i dont mean to be a downer, i am just passionate about this game. i love playing, its just that theres alot about the game thats really frustrating.
you can still be passionate about a game but still criticize it to.
if you dont like my response then just dont answer, ignore me. its that simple.
no kidding. ![]()
Because there’s a system that balances players according to their skill. I have a euro friend who is way, way less skilled, and he returned after a year or so of not playing.
We had a 20 winstreak in CC against really weak players. Then we suddenly had a 5 minute queue time and got matched against a full group lol
Oh, and this is very common too. The game just expects me to deal more than 300% of average damage on any given weapon by balancing braindead sheepies that barely do any impact.
I’ve heard variations of that theory for many years, but yet to see any proof. I don’t think we have enough players for that kind of system to really work.
I know that when I play during slow times, I’m more likely to get lots of MVPs and have winning streaks. And when I play on weekends, I’m more likely to score low and have losing streaks. I’ve never been able to find any pattern based on my actual playing.
Regardless, it doesn’t change my point: if you can enjoy the game when you’re losing, you will keep having fun. Having fun is how you win at Crossout.
If you have fun by being the best and winning a lot, that’s fine if you succeed at that, because then you’re still having as much fun as the guy playing drones in Patrol. But if you aren’t succeeding at being competitive, and you’re not having fun as a result, then you need to change your mindset.
What is a real problem is new forum members coming here and posting about how much they like the game, and how excited they are for some upcoming content, and then a bunch of veterans jump on them to tell them they are dumb for enjoying this game, and that they suck if they’re not playing the most powerful builds. It’s messed up, and a big part of why the Crossout community has trouble growing.
I love this game (as I’m sure you guys are sick of hearing), and even I want to give up and spend my time doing something else when random tryhards trash talk me in chat because I had the nerve to play a non-meta build. I hate that so much of the forum is like that too.
if your definition of fun is getting your head kicked in by bots and players with triple your PS, knock yourself out.
if not, i would say yes we need to balance this.
And one thing is having fun, other is pursuing satisfaction.
One thing is to have fun, other thing is how the fun is obtained.
In either case dominance is not necessary
Sweet one.
Rage bait is when you’re actually using context out of context to troll somebody to get that person angry.
Facts are actually information that you can prove physically and there is no other side of it.
If you get rage baited by a total stranger on social media that you don’t know will never know and it’s not even important in your life…
Then that is what it’s considered mental disability and mental instability…![]()
In plain English you are not fully mental developed you need to work on yourself.
You can tell me or tell the people whatever you want to make yourself feel important.
But your short-minded reality is not the majority of the reality of all other players.
I am not trying to convince you or anybody to play the game if you don’t want to .
But if you were going to play the game don’t be a bitch about it and go around social platforms and forums complaining about a reality that’s your reality… your reality.
Like I said before it is not the game the problem here is you. you should work on yourself.![]()
Anyways ![]()

may you find happiness someday. ![]()

I’d like them to give more points for taking off modules, wheels, and weapons. It kind of sucks when you help out the team taking out key parts and then up scoring lower because you don’t stick around for the higher part numbers and kills.
except im not the only one who shares this view on things in the game. i dont sit around and accept literally everything the devs throw out at people. though i dont expect someone like you to understand that.
though i guess im just beating a dead horse trying to explain stuff to you. no worries. ill just ignore you completely from this point on.
Humbug
