I got nothing left to get, soo what now?

the only fun can ever be found when you play for playing instead of having a second job. which means the only fun exists at low PS. except the teammates are so atrocious a single game can wipe the smile off your face permanently. so at the end of the day crossout may as well be a pve game

I like collecting new things, and at this point I have a lot of items. But I never really feel the pressure to be more efficient at grinding.
I know that once I have everything, some of the thrill of the game will disappear. So I want to slow my progress enough that I never catch up to the rate of new items being introduced.
Also, when I get a new item, I like to spend at least a couple weeks trying out different build concepts and improving my skills with it. I love when I get proficient enough with a gun or cabin that is seen as weak that I can take out some meta builds with it. I probably have the most fun with the worst items.

The main BPs are all I need. If I also purchased the mini-BPs I would have a lot more stuff, but I donā€™t think it would help me enjoy playing more. And I would feel more pressure to do all those challenges, instead of just having fun doing whatever I feel like.

I donā€™t want to treat Crossout as a shopping simulator, where the goal is just to collect more stuff. For me, itā€™s all about making sure that Iā€™m switching up my builds often enough that playing doesnā€™t get stale.

I took over 2 years off last time I took a break but Iā€™m soon gonna prob play it once a week instead of giving it up outright like I did the last time. I know 4000 hours of straight gemaplay broke me the last time so I donā€™t think Iā€™m gonna do that again just lay off that;s it.

Just like a lot of guitar players buying a new axe every month when you only need a few. I got 2 one for e standard and other for e flat.

you should try Drop D ā€¦

I played drop before back when I had more guitars. I use to tune my 2004 usa jackson soloist in either d standard or drop d but I did that out of necessity due to it having a bowed neck which mayed it hard to press the strings in standard tuning. I sold it for 1500 despite the bowed neck and I culled my guitars down to the 2 best ones that werenā€™t lemons which is my 2003 usa soloist and my 2008 mij dinky dk2. Even my fender was a lemon and sold that for 900.

Also coincidentally 2004 was the year jackson got sold off to fender and it donā€™t surprise me that jacksons quality control might of took a little hit right between 2003 to 2004. My 2003 and 2004 are like total different guitars despite being the same model.

Iā€™ve owned a lot of guitars over my life, but most of them cheap vintage finds. Similar to Crossout, I find it hard to pass up a bargain.

But over time I got over the collector impulse, and pared things down to the basics.

One solid body Yamaha, with a mixture of single coil and humbuckers. And one Gretch hollow body with humbuckers and a Bigsby vibrato. Between the two, I can get most of the tones I like.
But I also have a bass, a lap steel, a couple vintage tube amps, and of course a bunch of pedals.

Unfortunately I rarely play anymore. Turns out I need an active band to get motivated to practice, and I donā€™t have the time or energy for gigging anymore.

At least I actually still use my drum machines and synths, as they allow me to be the conductor of my robot orchestra, and thatā€™s still fun to do on my own.

I never got into drop D or other alternate tunings though. I rely on muscle memory too much, and donā€™t like having to think about where my fingers are going next. The lap steel is the exception, as it depends on open tunings. These days Iā€™m using the classic C6 tuning, as it allows for good access to minor voicings as well as major. But I am way too out of practice these days to do much with that instrument. Requires too much math in my head.

I donā€™t know music theory either I just plays what i ears. If I am learning a song and the tabs are bad then I just slow the song down in reaper so I can discern the individual notes it is not that difficult but it is time consuming learning songs with bad tabs cause I got to fill the gaps my own self. Writing is different I just throw mud at the wall until something sticks lol.

Drums is too high energy for me, got to move 4 limbs as opposed to 2 and I too lazy for that but drummers are every bit as musicians as the guitar players and you can be both too.

That may be true, but that doesnā€™t mean that drummer jokes arenā€™t funny.

What did the drummer say right before they got kicked out of their band? ā€œHey guys, how about we try one of my songs?ā€

So Iā€™m confused . Are u all suggesting I start a band or learn to play the guitar instead of playing crossout? Seems kinda extreme . I was just going to play a different game but this seems like a good way to meet girls so maybe??

You can always just play the drums.
