[ Mass Testing ] Planned balance changes in the upcoming update 2026

tl, dr:

  1. devs again fail to understand that there’s other factors that result in weapon performance. HP, niche synergies, TTK, interactions with specific enemy parts, hitbox, collision etc.
here's why i think that. slightly long read

like, crickets are ass because they got low HP and terrible hitbox. cicadas have 227 hp despite being 2 x 2 x 4 in size. crickets have 259 hp and they’re twice the size. cicada projectile origin is also high up meaning you can armor it so well it would be only a 1 x 2 frontal projection.

morta is typically ass. unless your enemies have ampere / big G / rare ammo storage / genesis or have their weapons on a frame part that’s less than 10 hp (or if you have an elephant / jotunn / narwhal in your team). oh how fun it was to onetap a full group of tracked nest builds lmao

avalanche is terrible stats vise. except for its hp and hitbox. you can essentially eliminate your cab and your frame as a crit if you place the avalanche properly.

  1. devs buff weapons that shouldn’t be buffed, because lil sheepie wants to win 1v4, blind and armless, but can’t, and therefore said weapon has 35% wn on average.

  2. devs refuse to do a hard nerf on 10 weapons that hold the game hostage (out of ~180 weapons total), instead letting them skew the balance and making actually balanced (or hell, even slighly strong) weapons look terrible in comparison.

If it works within the constraints of the item, there is no need to change it because people are “comfy”. Change is only needed if the item has no noticeable downside or not enough effectiveness, which translates to fun points that someone can’t obtain because the item is too weak
