Hot take: APC, WLP and the âWarâ pack parts should be immune to shotguns and machineguns (Reaper, Devourer and Punisher exempt), and buff cannons. It makes sense, they wouldnât be pierced IRL, itâd obliterate the hitscan DPS meta and the shotgun meta, and make cannons a bit more relevant.
No it wouldnât. Cannons are irrelevant because they are weak and terrible to use in terms of horizontal and vertical traverse and speed. They are terrible to build with too because they have horrible hitboxes and mounting points. Also they are horribly heavy to the point where you cannot make your vehicle durable if you are playing cannons with anything but a heavy cab. If you do have the mass limit, you are still limited because of how fucking heavy they are and how badly they throw off your vehicles balance. IMO they should get a reload nerf, traverse distance and speed buffs, and their damage doubled. Thats the cannon fix right there.
Its right in line with the Raiju too, it has more and faster traverse, and despite having a fast reload, it has a slower ROF because of its chargeup, but it does enough damage to one shot a wheel and the module behind it which is what makes it worth using. Thats why its good.
