What are you spending your BP lighters on?

Yeah, it’s people like you who are the problem

i buy my lighters here.

50 lighters for cheap

They sell single lighters for 2 euros in stores, i buy 50 of them for 14 euros :stuck_out_tongue:

On one hand, people like me buying the BPs could make the devs think they’re on the right track with that strategy.

But what lesson do you think they’ll take from people like you refusing to buy them? If anything, they’re likely to interpret that as a sign they need to make the BPs more essential, and make the free-to-play experience more grindy.

So while you may be “doing something”, I’m not convinced it’s a strategy that will have the intended effect.

what?? thats a bad thing though. if people keep buying the battlepasses itll send a message that “this is what the people want so just keep doing this” meaning we wont get any kind of significant content changes, additions or anything else and all we will keep getting is garbage like temporary blueprints, overpriced items, etc.

OR… it could also tell them that their marketing ploy isnt working and they need to try something else?

supporting them on bad decisions is whatll make a game die. supporting them on good decisions will make a game last longer. i really dont get your mind set here poony.

Personally, I’m fine with the BP system. I’d rather that games returned to the days when you bought them once and got everything, but you can’t really switch from a live service model like Crossout to the old school way.

As far as other changes to the game, we show our opinions with the devs with how we spend our time in the game. If you like a brawl or new mode, play it a lot, and they will interpret that as support. If you don’t play those modes, the devs will assume you don’t like them.

I don’t spend any money on packs or premium or minipasses, because I don’t think they’re a good deal, and I don’t want to support them. So I do share my opinion that way.
If you don’t think BPs are a good deal, don’t buy them. But don’t fool yourself into thinking that will lead them to make changes unrelated to their income model.

On that note, if you don’t think they should be funding the game through BPs, what financial model do you think they should shift to?

It’s not that complicated: if you want to send the devs messages on what you like and don’t like, you need to focus on those specific things.
Just not buying a BP only tells them you didn’t like that BP. If your complaints are about something else, your actions need to relate to that.

Personally, I believe that if you really enjoy a FTP game, and you can afford it, spend a few bucks on it once in awhile to support the developers. You don’t have to like every aspect of the game, but if you get more joy than fustration, maybe show some gratitude.

I don’t buy every single major battlepass, but I buy alot of the minor ones for the resale value of the modules. And I buy a few packs every year (when they’re discounted, again mostly for the resale value or if there’s a cabin or weapon I want). And if you know some poor kid who loves the game, but has no pocket money of his own, maybe help him out with a pack or battlepass. Sometimes that’s all it takes to keep someone in the game.

there can be other options but if they want more support in battlepasses then just make it worth the value. nobody really wants to pay for temporary blueprints or “taunts”. we want things that will be worth our money, if we are just going to throw money at the game for a small amount of crafting time between passes then wheres the value? in this pass we got 22 temporary items including the taunts, lighters and the blueprints. out of the battlepass 50 items are permanent and if you remove the frames we get a total of 38 permanent items. i really dont see why frames of all things should be battlepass related items. do you think this is worth the price?

honestly i think they can do better then that.

there are modes in this game that we dont like. also the devs are now trying to force battlewalker legs into regular pvp which alot of people are against. do you think they are going to listen to people who dont want it in? most likely not.

I don’t love the temporary BP blueprints, but it’s still an improvement over the days when all the most powerful items were pack-only. For me, the temporary blueprints aren’t a big enough deal for me to not buy the pass. Anything I can’t craft in time I can just buy on the market later, and most items show up again in the mini-passes.

But like I said, don’t buy them if you don’t think they’re a good deal. Vote with your wallet and time.

Everyone on this forum makes the mistake of thinking their personal preferences are echoed by the majority of other players.
But the devs can look at the actual stats and make decisions based on how people are voting with their time and money.
For me, I am frustrated that I can only play my mechs in PVE and the Next Step modes, so I am excited about them getting integrated into PVP.
Others may feel differently, and they can make their feelings known by not playing Next Step at all.

In any business, it’s hard to figure out what customers actually want. The loud voices don’t always reflect the majority.

So I do support people not buying things they don’t want and not playing modes they don’t like. If enough people share your opinion, it will likely eventually get reflected in how the game evolves.
What I don’t support is people thinking that loudly proclaiming on the forums that they won’t buy a BP until balance is fixed (or whatever the complaint is) is an effective way to get the changes you want.
You need to make sure your actions are more closely connected to the changes you want to see.

alot of people, from what i seen, also dont like playing against mechs or helis but the devs try to force it down our throats with the mini battlepass. they try to force us to play against them for some stupid reason. imo those legs are far FAR to strong for what they are. yeah they are going to nerf them a bit for the patrol mode but they are still stronger then ml-200s and thats concerning.
i also think that boosting and jump abilities from those legs need to be negated in patrol if they are to add it in. i seen to many “melee” mech leg builds and they are rather irritating to deal with.

I voted with my time and wallet. 0 dollars in the last year or so, and 0 hours played. Why am i here? Why do people stalk their ex’s social media? Boredom, hope, pettiness, who knows? I know that this is how i fill my time if im caught up on my NFLdotcom articles and am taking a shit. But yea, nothing has moved the needle and i dont get the itch like i used to after id take a hiatus. This simply isnt the same game i started playing years ago. Siege is, GTA is, CoD is, Battlefield is, etc. etc. I lurk here still, hoping maybe some major change will draw me back in to a game that used to provide alot of fun and good times. That hasnt happened yet. Maybe it never will. But anyways, ive successfully taken the Browns to the Superbowl, peace out :v:

so you did a number 2 in the bathroom?

I don’t think that tying challenges to a specific mode is “forcing” anyone to do anything they don’t want to do.
Any challenge in any game requires a specific task to be completed. Not everyone is going to like all the tasks. I missed out on a lot of rewards in the past because I didn’t feel like playing raids, and that’s fine.
No one is forcing anyone to complete every single challenge.

I think we should wait to see how they attempt to balance them for PVP. I don’t personally find them too strong in Next Step. In fact, when I want to score high in Next Step, I play fast close range wheeled builds.
I only play mechs in Next Step because it’s the only PVP mode they’re allowed.
I wish us console players could access the test server, as I am very curious how they intend on rebalancing mech legs, and would love to share my feedback on proposed changes.

I can’t think of any other game that I’ve spent more than a couple years playing before getting bored. Seems like a normal progression to me.
The fact that I’m still playing Crossout after many years is why I feel fine about buying BPs.
But if it’s no longer fun, I’d happily move on to another game. I’m pretty sure I would also stop posting on the forum too though. Life is too short to care about a video game that no longer thrills you.
