4 Energy Avenger Hoverers

I’m blowing the reload way out on both with the cab and fly wheel too.

The other thing is they made the white cannon 4 energy so people are playing them as quads with less support modules.

It was a recent change same with the ammo amount that use to be more in check too. The reload time for the white cannon has always been higher though then the blue cannon. To me it’s kind of funny. So people are farming with them at low ps.

Well in my point of view, a white part doesn’t really have any business costing 5 energy

Wouldn’t that be an issue with the cab and flywheel? … not the white cannon itself
But I do get what you’re saying, its performance is a bit too high for a white part

Not really but it’s just another way of showing the abusable nature that they’ve achieved. Like I can’t do quad blues but I can almost double the reload times for both.

Like I mention in another thread, I’ve seen a player clean house with a hover and chord build so any part can be great if you play it right and with a little luck

But I’ve seen people complain about everything in this game now from cabins, and movement parts (excluding the obvious hovers) to decals and support modules etc.
So there always gonna be something someone doesn’t like!

Super true… especially if you step up to rares & fuse the whole set-up. I use fused rare machine guns frequently.

The nice thing about machine guns & mini-guns is that the person you’re shooting doesn’t get any huge indication on their end they’re being shot. It’s just some sparks & plinking noises. Canons go boom, rockets explode, etc. So, if you’re using a machine gun or mini-gun on someone who doesn’t pay much attention, you can wear 'em out easily.

You don’t need OP weapons… just to play cleverly.

The problem with fighting hoverers has always been threefold, since they were introduced many years ago.
They can move backwards as fast as you can move forwards.
They can move sideways while you can usually not, making you very susceptible to flank attacks.
Their guns are on a higher elevation than yours, so they can easily shoot down at you and de-gun you, while trying to de-gun them is much harder to do.

At this PS you can do the same thing with omni, it’s the weapon that has been recently changed that is causing the issue. The ammo is so high it barely even need an ammo box and the damage/reload outpaces an upgraded rare cannon.

edit: ammo count err to ammo box

So you are telling me you play slow, non strafing builds.

So you hate hovers…bully for you. Start using omni wheels or bigrams. If they ever eliminated hovers, you would just shift your complaint to those and grinders, because that is where all the hover players would end up

I like the Avengers being 4 Energy every time Cannons are the Daily Mission. I take off one Drone and the Cloak and add Avenger, swap Cheetah for Colossus and add Ammo packs where the Cloak was hidden. After 5 Patrols, revert vehicle to normal.
I tank Cannon shots all day, get some HP!

That’s nice but are you thinking about newer players and their experience in starting the game with common weapons?

I think, since common cabins have low energy, using 2 Avengers for 10 Energy would require a generator.

A new player could put 2 Avengers on a Huntsman with a radar and radio and play Cannons.

Sounds good to me.

I understand the idea behind the Avenger buff, but someone at Targem SHOULD have realized it wasn’t clever to make them miles better than Judges and Prospectors.

I think some comon sense could be used to revert parts of the buff. It’d be fine with 18/24 ammo instead of 35 (!!!) and the damage buff removed.

That is EXACTLY why devs did what they did. The Avenger s*cked balls and on top of that was unplayable for new players because 5 energy and low ammo.

Now they should do the same to Luparas. +50% firing time, +50% cooling time. This way noobs don’t need a goddamn Seal before being able to play shotties.

I think the four energy thing is fine, but they probably need a damage and ammo nerf.

Who can even use that much ammo? I guess that might make raids more fun, but PVP matches never last long enough to go through that kind of ammo.
It doesn’t matter to me one way or the other though, but 35 is a lot. It’s just more evidence that the developers don’t have a clue how us mere mortals live. They really need to appoint a consultant who actually plays this game.

I never found it to be unplayable but I always figured they left it slightly lack luster to push people towards the judge faster. The avenger even when I started had more ammo then the judge to help compensate for the need to acquire ammo boxes but it was never as high as it was now.

This would just create the same issue as the avengers with the shotguns.

2x avenger, deadman cab, flywheel can reload fast enough. If you have them on split triggers you can pretty much just fire them fairly consistently one after the other.

You’re talking about the kind of build that must run at least 9K, ya? Do those even work way up there?
I guess it must, or there wouldn’t be this thread, but I’m surprised it’s an issue for people at that level, with so many resources available to them, to be getting pwnd by Avengers.

I suppose they’re getting pwnd by Hovers (not Avengers), in actuality, ya?

Speaking of nerds who don’t play this game; I just went another week without playing. My Crossout addiction has swayed. But, maybe before teasing the developers for not playing, like I just did, I should consider that IDK WTF either, because I’m probably pushing the better part of two months without playing more than three hours, total.

You make them fairly light on armor looking for around 5-7k for ps. I have something similar cooked up for my judges using omni instead of hovers but the movement advantage is almost the same. It doesn’t require much other than the fly wheel and a detector so the PS is really low. Doesn’t even require a generator.

From what I’ve gathered on the issue there’s a few groups playing the avenger hovers and the groups of them is what’s really contributing to some of the issue. Some of the complaints on the forum basically state it as whichever team has more of them wins. lol It’s kind of like a meta infestation…

What would a new player be doing playing 5000-7000?

I thought we were talking Low Power Score and not Medium Power Score.

I see them all the time! Now that the ice and snow are gone, I can catch them again and ram them from the air.

Yes, I have to tank shots to my face as I chase them down, but that is what spaced armor and a Gessen is for, to be blown off chasing down hovercraft.

I thought we were talking 3000 Power Score. I was thinking about calculating what PS a Growl with four Epic Movement Items and 2 Common Cannons and an Epic Flywheel would add up to, to assemble a Seal Clubbing Vehicle.

Avengers are weak at 5000-7000 Power Score. What 80 damage? I laugh at Avengers!

Get some Hit Points!

Who runs white parts at that power score
That’s just goofy as white parts fall off if you fart anywhere near them :joy:

A new player wouldn’t be, if a player has enough armour/parts to be at that level they’re not that new!

Deadman and flywheels were mentioned so I knew right away it wasn’t low PS just those two things are nearly 2500PS let alone the omnis they mentioned

I cannot fathom how at 5 to 7k PS a white part is apparently so OP it reigns supreme … I play most of the time below 4k PS and hardly see the white cannons used, except for when you need the cannon daily’s at that PS I can tank more than half a dozen white cannon hits, What are you people using on your builds at the 5 to 7k PS papier mache?
Are people at the 5 to 7k PS only building things with movement parts, a cabin, and a weapon or two maybe reloading modules!!!
