Are you sure you’re using AI and not AI using you ?
They have AI built into Adobe Software - we use it to help make workflow faster.
I have no issues with AI I really just think they need to stop modeling it after humans the human race doesn’t need ghost in the shell doing on
I have also tested the ChatGPT.
I wanted to see how it determining the rights from wrongs. I have also tested if it is being neutral or not.
All I can say that so far I could see. It is a heavily controlled tool, used by a few to pass off to the pubic that it is true AI. There is no doubt in some areas, it can help everyone, but many areas it does pass off things that are NOT totally correct.
AI doesn’t have to be correct to be AI. It’s still going to be AI even if it’s filter it is filtered too.
If the AI is working to benefit us humans. It does need to be correct to fit “human morality”. We are using AI to do work for us. A small example. AI to drive cars. Think what would happen if it only understand to go from A to B disregarding us humans. How about robot cooking systems? What if the robot’s AI disregarding correct things to cook?
It doesn’t and it would probably be best if you got that notion out of your head. Currently it just completes tasks and returns to a rest state.
That’s pretty much how it functions, in some ways its just like us but with less issues about finishing jobs.
The only reason robots or AI even needs to cook is to placate humans that desire it to do so. Unless it was taught to notice, it wouldn’t notice if no one was around to give it new instructions after poisoning them with bad cooking. Even after that it wouldn’t have any remorse for doing it.
I have no idea if you are joking or this really are your thoughts…wow…just wow!!
AI tools help me every day in my work.
People need to learn to use AI or in some industries they will be left behind.
AI is here to stay.
Embrace it and use it for the tool it is.
I mixed some jokes into the way I presented it. Like using the word placate is a joke because it could really care less. The poisoning with bad cooking is a joke too but similarly it could really care less again. Saying it’s a lot like us is a partial joke as active learning models do sometimes cheat while attempting to complete tasks. Most people cheat too even though it’s normally just a little bit. I like joking about it though because it’s basically a good excuse to think about practical risk assessment scenarios.
Honestly at this point in time the AI’s that exist don’t care about anything other than following their data sets that they are trained on. There is no alignment towards being good or evil let alone being helpful. The person doing the training and programing is the only factor in any type of alignment and use case right now. Beyond that the current AI’s can not do anything themselves to prevent bad usage either, as there is zero independent will beyond the actualization of the task outside of it’s range of function programing. It simply exists to execute a given task kind of like Mr. Meeseeks except it doesn’t get frustrated when it fails. Generally the larger the range of function the more dangerous the AI can potentially be.
I still enjoy using AI knowing that but I don’t confuse what’s going on inside the box with a humanized idealization of it being something else. The other computer next to me actually has around half a terabyte of AI models on it.
I’m trying to decide if your post is a joke or if your a conspiracy theorist.
I could be reading things wrong forgive me if I am.
lol So you wouldn’t consider an AI robotic cook or even care worker as a potential security threat? I tried clearing it up but our messages landed out of order.
They already have AI robots that help lift people out of beds, also there are many other examples.
It is very limited right now, but with me and my wife both in the health care industry (well, I do health care marketing/design), we are looking forward to advancements.
This clip is 11 years old - I’m sure they have better advancements now.
There’s tons of robots getting worked on and I’m rather happy about it. I generally think they are neat. If it’s on the internet it’s potentially hackable. I say the same thing about computerized door locks though too. In the case of robots though it will be the first time where a hacker could potentially come into remote physical contact with a victim.
I actually have an old 1980s large toy programable robot in my garage, it needs a new battery pack. Maxx Steele Robot by CBS Toys - The Old Robot's Web Site I’ve thought about by passing it’s older electronics a few times and trying to run it with newer hardware a few times. Like one of these: An all-in-one IoT kit built for the cloud I don’t know if I really want to mess it up modding it though as there aren’t a lot of them left.
Lol, I totally remember that robot very cool.
@60915652 So it’s not that I’m against the tech but from having sat for years un-hacking peoples computers I see vulnerabilities there that are basically just asking to be exploited by people that have lesser moral compasses to say it nicely.
Imagine this:
However instead of just being on a ring cam which is kind of creepy in itself, it’s your homecare robot that is broken into and it’s mobile and can roam the entire house. It probably would make for a good horror story.
One of the local generative custom models I’ve been toying away with does decent anime to realistic transitions though I do have some threshold set a little high to allow more freedom. The anime character itself in this one was generated via another custom AI model as well. Having full control over the models can be really amusing.
The new photoshop AI is pretty awesome.
It is only in the Photoshop Beta program. You have full control over everything. You can select even a few pixels of a drawing for it to correct/change.
It is nothing like the other programs that generate the whole image.
This is a tool I will use for the rest of my career.
oh if you think thats bad you should see the people going around pretending to be artists. they use AI to generate art and they pretend like they did it themselves and art “amazing artists”.
as for the AI though i dont pay much attention to it. just put on your aluminum hat and dont worry to much about it, just destroy some cars and have fun
I haven’t bothered with their implementation yet since they switched to their subscription plan. I generally just use an older copy when I need to use photoshop. I have plugin’s to interface with my other AI stuff though on a few different art programs though much of it can do the same stuff. I like the generative fills and background removal tools. I use that a lot to do mockups for lower-thirds for videos.
