Actually, Almost all drones are unsuitable as new weapons in the dronapocalypse mode, they are too exaggerated, but I remember the previous chase mode had the Joule drone and that was perfect as a new weapon, this drone should be easy to make it into a weapon

Making all Drones good would be a start 
I love all this drone stuff we are getting.
I thought the cabin would make them good, but the cabin is awful.

I think the fused barrier in the BP is meant to help these.
Playing drones is the most demanding of all weapons.
It requires a lot to not lose them in a heartbeat.
every weapon in the game is a counter to them
while every other weapon in the game you have a certain control in the cooldown times (overheating/ reload) you donāt have any control over it after you pop the things.
It requires map awareness at all time, no room for error.
SGs are way easy (iām a SG main)
W + spam right mouse button = dead adversary.
MGunners use more WASD and some use even more keys like Q+E + spam right mouse button = dead adversary.
Cannons usersā¦ well they are food for the fishes.

people who tunel vision on the build instead of the drones.

IMO
Low PS drones are great, epics, not so much.
The drone i love the most in this apocalypseā¦ and the one i use less often.
I also like fortune drone and Jubokko Drone
this event iām getting crap drones that donāt seem very useful, my least favourite besides scorpion, Parser, Aesthreus, all in all very uninspired selection.

When people poo-poo drone players, I get it simply because many drone players are the last ones standing & drag out a hopeless match running & hiding. Likeā¦ suicide, okay? 
That being said, a good drone player is probably a better player than virtually every shotgun, minigun & machine gun player in the game for all the reasons you listed.
that and turrets.
But just to hammering a bit more.
to put in perspective.
everyone loves gassgen, everyone runs gasgen, in fact, gasgen is the most used gen in the gameā¦ (iām being sarcastic )
the gasgen has 34 durability, a drone has 30 durability (at least, the ones iām using )
But wait, there are people using fused dronesā¦ok that will be 50 durability
With the upcoming changes the gasgen will have a bit more than 70 durability.
Still more than a drone.
Who uses gasgen in the open?
Drones are in the open.
A weapon for noobs, right?.. Right! OFC they are.
