AI weapon medium efficiency and other dev brainrot

So in the next part of ai generated questions and propaganda, they were talking of how Vultures were perfectly balanced in a “Medium efficiency of AI weapons” and so were most homing rockets, and turrets, and drones

So how do you guys feel about this whole medium efficiency of AI weapons? Do you feel like Vultures are as efficient as Yaoguais and Caucasusses? Do you think all drone and homing weapons are equally balanced to be “medium efficiency?”

So yeah Vulture is never gonna be viable in any gameplay so cheers to that then I guess. Why even make it in the first place if you’re just going to make a bad weapon and refuse to make it any good, even within these imaginary “Medium efficiency ai weapons” class of weapons.

It’s not a medium efficiency ai weapon, it’s a low efficiency ai weapon even within the group of supposed medium efficiency ai weapons

the only thing i want in pvp is drones and similar garbage to be low efficiency, there is nothing good about them in any regard

Like it is not even that hard to make it even slightly more viable with a minimal change while still artificially keeping it in that “suck zone” the devs have decided it belongs in

Like for example any 1 of these three small changes would make it way better without turning it into a problem. Doing one of these things would fix it without OP-ing it and I literally came up with these while sitting on the toilet, taking a fat shit, with about 10 seconds worth of thought

  1. Make Flock not work on them (called it Dove by accident, too many pidgeon themed named for parts I do not own or run into that much due to not playing heli/next step)
  2. Give them a longer living time while in the air by like 2 seconds
  3. increase the target finding range by a little like +15%

Any 1 of those minimal changes would not suddenly turn the weapon into a problem, yet would be an amazing quality of life change, making a super suck weapons into just suck weapon, if it’s supposed to be stuck sucking for all eternity

Then I want all weapons across the board to be balanced to be reasonably efficient compared to low efficiency of drones so no weapons is over-efficient as a stock

Honestly by this point a person running turrets getting 2000 points in a match is ten times more impressive than anyone cheesing 5000 points with something like Imps, that’s just a normal monday at the office at this point

good, deploying automatic aimbot and running around like a headless chicken shouldnt earn 3000 points and 5 kills per game. even worse for obnoxious drones deployed via mortar

You can get an aimbot for all weapons for free in this game already with the aim assist so being “aimbot” does not really work as an argument, especially when things like missile turrets can’t even aim to begin with

And being stuck making barely 100 points if you choose the “wrong” kind of a weapon is not earning 3000 points.

If anything current meta builds on aim assist run around as headless chickens with 3000 points and 5 kills per game

its fair to buff the stationary drones like the missile ones and the small turrets. but nothing else. fuses are a cancer to crossout just because of the gameplay style they require, annihilator runs around you like its on crack, yaoguai and vulture are known to kill a few thousand braincells per drone deployment.
only grenadier and sidekick i see a bit less and are more reasonable. and fatum which can be fun to play against, much unlike all the other drones

im reading the q and a and oh my god what the hell are the devs smoking?

first the vultures
the vultures are useless and one of the most counterable drones in the game. bots instantly target them and destroy them as soon as they come out of cloak. i find this to be straight up unfair. the damage is laughable and they just arent good!

next is the anaconda and own missile drones.
what the actual fuck are the devs on about?
“A: We believe the efficiency of drones and turrets is within the medium efficiency of all AI weapons in the game, which we have no plans to increase in relation to regular weapons.”
REALLY!? and who in the hell tested this and green lit this garbage response?
the anaconda and owl drones are the weakest drones in the entire game! their damage is laughable and they barely do anything! i dont understand how the hell anyone looked at those drones and thought “yeah they are fine! they do enough damage as is!” like… WHAT?!
@MudnBeer i think the devs broke out the 400 proof magic bottle of mystic rum and gin because HOLY CRAP this response is absolutely stupid!

these responses dont even feel like the developers talking, it just feels like they programmed an ai to give half assed responses. “we cant do this” “we have no intentions of changing this” “this wont happen” “these weapons do fine” like… is this whole company run by robots or something?

what could you expect from a “Q&A”

Does the devs even play there own game besides showing off some pass weapons and armor?

of course they dont

HAHha i figured when they do play they seem not to be very good at the game! XD

They look pretty awkward on their live streams.

I think they need to enforce a holiday (monthly?) where the developers go to work, but just play their own games all day with the rest of us, like the rest of us; no god-accounts. At least one of them should be made to do this…somebody, but I don’t get the impression anybody does, ever. Not from their Q&A, or their behavior on the live-streams.

There is another thread asking “What Other Games Do You Play?” I lied and said, “I’m not even playing this one right now.” But, I do have Skyrim, and New Vegas, and I like to mod them often, but I rarely actually play them. I just mod them. The only reason I play them is to bug-check my mods.

It’s an odd relationship. I like the games, but I never actually play them, only tinker, and I suppose this could be how the developers are too.

They’re still getting use to English. A few events ago they even said they were taking lessons. It doesn’t happen fast as far as getting use to using the language. If I watch movies with my cousins we still put on subtitles.

To the rest of what I was reading comment wise:

I’m not sure how smart the AI weapons should be in game. I’d like them to change a priority shot though to something more damaged though. I don’t play them often I’d rather control my own weapons. As they aren’t controllable enough yet I often skip them. I use to make them each season just to deal with the challenges but they got rid of those challenges. Much of it seems like a really disconnected play style.

I know some of these launched enabled drones I would like to be able to target them via the drone cab. I look at some of those as being a command and control device so with the legendary cab that does drone control they should work. I had mostly looked at this as how do you do area control with remote deployment.

I’d like the quads and wheeled drones all to be able to break the basic follow idea. They should have two modes Attack/Defend, In attack they find the closest target in defend they follow like ducklings.

It’s not that. They act clumsy with the menus, can’t find things gracefully, or directly, and just generally fumble through the interface, various modes, and the build feature too. They look awkward.

This does seem broken to me too.

When I use drones (usually the type you mention) the GUI displays a crosshair that reacts to targets when you pass it over them. Maybe they could use this feature to help feed the drones focus and priorities. It’s sort of what they failed to utilize well with their lemon flavored “drone-cab.”

My Sidekicks (Grenadiers seem worse) will often stare off into space while I’m being brutalized to death right next to it. This is frustrating.

Watch them in Russian and they get it a bit better. They do fumble still a little on where a build is but it’s still all fairly new to them too. I generally don’t blame the outward facing people for that type of stuff. Their inward people should be better prepping them.

I had suggested the ability to use the tab key and move them to positions on the larger map but I think they don’t like the idea. I toggle that map often on the keyboard I’m not sure what it is like on the gamepad though. My idea would be like I could tell them to advance and stay behind then move. toggle to map, trigger action, move…

I don’t like them driving under me and stuff but I’d still like to call them back to me. I’d also like to be able to be able to pick them back up if they run out of a use charge.

the devs to ACTUALLY CARE about their game?

… then again i guess thats asking to much huh? :expressionless:

youre asking somebody to put a lot of time and effort into what is purely an infinite piggy bank for them. as long as people are pouring money into it there is no reason to expect change
