FPS rate changes after updates

Survivors!
We are aware that after updates, some players are having issues with temporary FPS drops upon first launching the game. We would like to explain why this issue persists and what steps we’re currently taking to solve it.
Due to the technical properties of the game engine and the DirectX 11 structure, shaders are compiled each time Crossout gets an update. This process takes place every time after an update and requires some time, which leads to FPS drops in the short term. Compilation of shaders is a very resource-demanding process that heavily depends on the performance capability of your GPU.
DirectX 11 does not allow the previously compiled shaders to be transferred to the new version of the game upon an update. This means that your graphics card must compile shaders each time the game updates.
We are currently working on the possibility of switching to DirectX 12, which does not have this issue. Transferring to the newer version of DirectX will also mean other technical benefits for the game.
We are grateful for your patience and understanding. Our team continues to work on making Crossout better and on making the player experience as comfortable as possible.
Good luck in battles!

When I want shade, I just pop open a beach umbrella.

I haven’t had any shades turned on for like 3 years now
Makes aiming a yokai a bit challenging
But good to know there is some solid reason for it and they are hopefully gonna fix it
Shaders are not simply shadows - they are essential to the whole rendering process. And compiling them is something multiple games can struggle with. Recompilation of shaders (e.g. after an update, just like described in the blog post) usually generates unusually long loading times but sometimes can also cause some stuttering during gameplay (similarly to what we’re experiencing in Crossout now).
Now that sounds promising - technical advancements are always great news! I hope we will hear more about it soon.

Still waiting for them to fix their shit so you can stop pretty much being useless 5-7 matches on each startup because you can’t do anything
And now I can’t have my normal evening session of the gam because of constant high ping, 148-500 constantly
I must be one of the few lucky ones (for a change).
Is there a chance you’re using some new part that’s causing the problems? Or is it happening even with older, untouched builds?
I have this happening with any build.
Clowns have just fucked the game up… again!
