It’s time to test your driving skills in the new “No brakes” brawl. Get ahead of all your rivals and don’t get caught by the vigilant Wasteland police! But even if you do, you will still have a great chance to make things difficult for the other racers on the track.
Attention! The mode will be available from January 16 to January 22 inclusive!
“No Brakes” is a PvP race in which players have to compete against each other in a 3 lap street race while evading the pursuit of the Wasteland police.
The race takes place with preset cars. You can replenish your boosters fuel supply by successfully drifting.
Initially, only AI players are on the police team. But if an AI player manages to get close to a racer and stay near them for a certain amount of time, the racer is considered to be arrested and switches to the police side. In this case, their goal is to catch the remaining racers on the track.
The reward for the battles of the mode is wires.
Special challenges and rewards:
Day 1: earn 3000 points in the “No brakes” brawl. Reward: “Orange sky” paint.
Day 2: complete 3 battles in the “No brakes” brawl. Reward: “Humanitarian aid” container.
Day 3: earn 500 points in one battle in the “No brakes” brawl. Complete 2 times. Reward: “Fishing rod” decor.
Day 4: complete 2 battles in the “No brakes” brawl. Reward: “Number 13” sticker.
Day 5: earn 5000 points in the “No brakes” brawl. Reward: “Dragon gaze” hologram.
Day 6: complete 3 battles in the “No brakes” brawl. Reward: “Humanitarian aid” container.
Day 7: earn 800 points in one battle in the “No brakes” brawl. Complete 3 times. Reward: “Final touch” hubcap with a hologram.
this is fun and easy.just drive and tap boost.
i got 2nd first try but 2nd try i got busted not paying attention to the track,i was the last to be busted lol
The looks of the brawl are really nice, and the rewards are ok. But the cars handle very poorly and it makes driving a pain, and in a brawl where you do nothing but drive it kind of makes the whole brawl not that great. Yet another braw to get frustrated by how bad handling and driving feels in this game after the supercharged update/10
Wow, you guys are right. Those cars are terrible to drive. The track sucks too. It’s as if both of those things were intentionally designed to be awful. It’s like they don’t want us to have fun. WTF is wrong with these people?
Turns out, a lot of people really like this brawl. IDK how, but whatever. Good for them, I guess. I don’t get it…and I sort of like racing games.
I’m glad they set the bar low to get the prizes and I don’t have to try very hard or play this much to win them, because those aren’t bad…I like the antenna, anyway.
I like this brawl. The handling doesn’t seem too bad to me, except when using boosters. I’ve had more success when barely using the boosters.
I do find that I need to use the handbrake a lot, but that helps charge the boosters for when I need them.
I wish we had a permanent race mode, with lots of tracks.
the more u play the better you get,the handling is diff for every car.
you need to tap steer and tap boost except on the long straights…
slow n steady wins these races ! Sorta
the scoring is wonky…maybe they turned into cops forfeiting their win.
That…thats the point.if they werent, eveyone would always be at a standstill.the main way of passing people os waiting until they crash, not to mention that the cop cars are nowhere near as fast as the racers,so the racers usually have to crash before the cops can start arresting.its not the games fault you dont know how to turn.
IDK, some of those cars really suck and you’re not given a choice. Some of them definately work better than others, which is sort of a dumb thing for them to do. When I develop my own brawls with the brawl creator, I put a lot of effort into making sure all the cars I build for them are very evenly matched.
Also, since they do know how to add bots to racing brawls, I’d like to know why the hell aren’t they available in the brawl creator for the race-track modes? I’d love to make some racing brawls but I can’t test anything without bots. Thus, I probably couldn’t make different but equal builds for my races any better than they did.
I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized that the bots are only police, and police cars don’t need to follow the track, so normal bot AI can work. They just follow and attack players, and ignore the actual track.
Incidentally, when you’re a cop, it’s best to ignore the track and take a shortcut to cut off the racers. It’s fun to set up ambushes!
Last time I played, I just wondered around the track looking at stuff until it was over. It is a little like the new guy said, “like drunk driving.”
I’m a biker. We try hard not to do that, and for me personally, it’s the peaking of agility and speed that give motorcylces a lot of their charm. The addiction to that is why I play this game. I can’t really ride anymore, but I can get that fix here or with the typical racing game.
That drunk-ass, slow, handicapped feeling, is the opposite of what I’m looking for, and almost all of their brawls showcase that like it’s a feature. It’s hard for me to tolerate, and it’s never what I would call “fun.” I don’t drink much or often for similar reasons. I don’t like feeling physically or mentally debilitated.
I find the cop cars to be extra lackluster, the Flash or Spark on them does nothing, and neither does the punji/jubokko cop car in general.
On the other hand, it makes driving easier for the racers on an already confusing track which is a plus, but on the other hand I am seriously contemplating if I need 1 extra hologram and hubcaps or if I should just call it a day at the antenna because even todays finish 3 races challenge was just me getting arrested on purpose and then driving in a circle as a cop all match, repeat three times while straight up not having fun just like when trying to play the mode properly
OK, I take it all…mostly back. Without the sloshy handling, which I wasn’t getting so much this last round, the No Brakes brawl is fun. I like racing games. The car with the Ravager wheels sorta sucks like that (sloshy), but I must have been experiencing a touch of lag that made it all a lot worse. That last session was way more fun, without the slosh…but two things:
First off, this car is pretty cool…
Secondly…
I don’t remember anybody saying anything about the functional headlamps. Right the hell on. Thanks Devs. That’s damn keen. How did I not notice it the last time I played?
It ain’t come to the main game yet, but I don’t see why it should just stay in this brawl, right? I think it should be fair to expect this feature to jump on over to the rest of the modes soon…right?
