“Precious driver” in classic PvP missions

Hello, survivors!

It’s time to change the usual rotation of battle modes in missions a little! From yesterday until April 29 inclusive, the “Precious driver” mode is available in classic missions alongside the usual “Assault”, “Encounter” and “Domination”. No base capture; only teamwork and strategising around defending and utilising the precious driver, the main player on your team.

In this mode, one random player from each team becomes a “precious driver”. They earn their team more points for each enemy they destroy. The opposing team will also receive more points for destroying this player.
To win, a team must score 10 points on PC or 8 points on consoles:
    The team receives 1 point when one regular player destroys another regular player;
    The team receives 5 points when a regular player destroys the “precious driver”.
    The team receives 2 points when the “precious driver” destroys a regular player.
    The team receives 6 points when the “precious driver” destroys the other “precious driver”.
Compared to the brawl of the same name, we have increased the power and durability of “precious drivers’” armoured cars and improved the interface.

huh… thats an interesting change to a pvp mode.

idk chief 10 points to win seems a bit to little… means the teams can just bum rush the precious driver and end it pretty quickly. i mean 5 points to the enemy if a single player destroys the precious driver… i mean only one way to find out right?

i think the concept for this is interesting but the way its implemented is a bit off.

No base to capture? Nope right out of these if they place me into one then.
The point of the game is to capture the base!
How can you have a PVP mode in classic PVP without at least one base?!?!?!?

About the cap, no big deal, not having a cap it’s a improvement .
that travesty of both teams going clock wise, and switch caps and delay the others cap progress turns old very quick, it’s a waste of time if you ask me.

From experience we ( players ) will need some kind of structure, some glue i doubt the precious driver will be enough, might fall in total disorder but regardless i’m sure the devs will be paying attention and make the necessary corrections if necessary along the way ( i’m not being sarcastic ).

the whole points thing is really odd though… at least to me.
i mean 10 points to win and you get 5 for destroying a precious driver with a regular car and 6 points fo a precious driver destroying the other precious driver…
idk man, whats to stop the entire team from just ganging up on the precious driver?
your just making one of your team mates out to be the goose in the game. i mean sure they get a small buff to but if its like 5v1 then theres no chance they will survive.

at that point i think the whole thing will come down to who can destroy the precious driver the fastest, it doesnt promote team work or anything… at least to me. its just a blood bath and a race to see who can defeat the enemies the quickest.

perhaps something along the lines of drone apocalypse?
perhaps something with no lines whatsoever

assuming there’s no respawns i don’t think people will be that aggressive but again, precious driver could be used to divert or to pierce through the other team defence.

The scoreboard needs to show the assists! You must check your progress on the Assistant patch after every battle and do math. Just show the assists on the scoreboard!
The battles end too quickly! 4 kills equal 10 points somehow!


This one is a rare Precious Driver. The enemy killed us all for 14 points, but the first seven kills only scored nine. Only when they killed me last, the precious driver, at 2 minutes and 22 seconds did they surpass ten points.

so no respawns??

No respawns, no bases, just chaos, most times over in under two minutes. You are fighting and surviving and it just ends.

well that sucks. no wonder its over fast…
why not just make it regular pvp in that case? why even have points?


Four times in a row I was alive and fighting and using my second round of turrets or about use the second round of turrets and it ended. 3 out of 4 were 60 seconds or less.

where is it?
it classic missions it says it’s avaiable from 23rd to 24th April
But all i’m getting is classic missions

ok, this mode is not 100% on, sometimes i get this mode, sometimes i get the precious driver, only if i choose scrap as a reward, and that’s kind of crappy
if i’m there is for a reason, to play classic mode or to play precious driver. playing one mode while expecting other, not my cup of tea
The mode itself seems like classic mode with points, and being the precious driver it was like being i the Next step mode.
But i already have been playing Next step mode
First impressions are ok.
those spawn points however… need some work, spawning far from your team and close to the other team sucks a bit. specially with no re spawns




Regarding time spent in battle it feels normal for a classic missions battle

You can run “get the wires”, see my screenshot. I got 4 in row, certainly beating the odds. You just beat the odds the other way not getting any.
You see in my screenshot 4 missions lasting about one minute. That seems must shorter than most classic missions like Assault and Encounter.
