The “Ice championship” has begun!

Hello, survivors!

Just a week before the start of the new season, we offer you to participate in the “Ice championship” for the first time. Ice arena and a heavy puck instead of a light ball dramatically change the rules of the game, so be careful!

Attention! The mode will be available from September 12 to September 18!

  • The basic rules are the same as those of the “Steel championship”.
  • The mode has special armoured vehicles for the forward, defender and goalkeeper roles. You can switch roles during the match through self-destruction.
  • The reward for the battles of the mode is scrap metal.

Special challenges and rewards

  • Day 1: earn 1500 points in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: 80 Engineer badges.
  • Day 2: score 1 goal in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: “Fan container”.
  • Day 3: complete 3 matches in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: “Humanitarian aid” container.
  • Day 4: earn 1500 points in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: 80 Engineer badges.
  • Day 5: complete 3 matches in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: “Humanitarian aid” container.
  • Day 6: score 1 goal in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: “Fan container”.
  • Day 7: earn 1500 points in the “Ice championship” brawl. Reward: 80 Engineer badges.

How about a little more traction

I love the challenge of getting so-called useless items to work.
Takes some time, but it’s time I enjoy spending.
I generally avoid playing the current metas, and focus on figuring out counters to whatever is currently popular. When you come up something that works against the current meta, it means you’ve always got a lot of targets to attack.

This mode has some serious flaws in it they would need to work out

First of all, skinners are absolutely useless in this mode, they need to completely remove them

Second, the puck spends way too much time flying around rather than sliding on the ice, I’d wish it was more grounded by default rather than just being the steel championship ball in a flatter form. It should resist flying around in the air, and move a bit faster and better when sliding on the ice

Third, the forward and defender roles are reversed, the defender car with the Scorpion is much more suited for attacking than the supposed autocannon equipped attacker

Fourth, because of how the puck and the shield/weird force push work, the goalie and defender are more suited for actually hitting the puck and making it move, once again because of the extremely weird physics behind the puck, making Goalie and Defender the attacking roles to play

Honestly they should have just properly grounded the puck a bit more rather than making it a heavy sluggish steel championship ball in disguise that slides and flies at a snails pace.

Scoring goals is a ducking nightmare, I seem to be stuck in a helping others score goals or loosing the entire battle, where if I focus on just trying to goal, the whole match goes to trucks and the team looses, but if I focus on trying to move the puck towards the goal or defending, the team usually wins but every trucking person except me scores at least 1 goal. I’ve been trying to get the crate all morning now with about 12+ people getting one out of scoring that 1 goal while if I try to just solo for the goal my team is sitting with their thumb up their mass and just lets the enemy drive the puck right to our goal. At least in the steel championship it was actually possible to solo a goal, but in this mode you can’t do it, you need someone else to pass you the puck but everyone’s playing solo, just like how modern day crossout pvp battles your teammates ram and push each other all over the place because it’s every man for himself

yes,
i play goalie now it’s easier to get the puck to the goal and score…i recommend players try it, use it for offense.
use the shield and shoot,it’s alot fun.
