Less than 150 clans have any CW rating by the end of last week, a huge chunk of veterans have quit playing Clan Wars after few bad metas the last few years.
We really need more ppl getting into CW and there should be more incentives in the ladder to make it worth it for newer players who have a mountain to climb before ever touching uranium outside of BFU.
Last time I played Clan Wars was six years ago, and I wasn’t really ready at the time. And while I’m a better player now and have a much bigger inventory, you could argue that the barrier to entry is even higher now.
I used to say that PS limits would be the way to save CW, but then they introduced Clan Confrontation and Battle For Uranium, so I got what I wanted basically. Plus I don’t need to be in a group to play those competitive modes, which suits my lifestyle more.
I’m not sure what would get me to give it another shot. Maybe it’s just not for everyone?
I guess if I were a dev, I would try to connect CC, BFU, and CW into one mode. They seem to be thinking of them like that, but they could be integrated better. Like maybe over a season of a month, the PS limit would increase each week, until it hits no limit at the end. Individual rankings over the various stages would get combined for a total score, making it more possible for a skilled new player to start winning the uranium they’d need to succeed at the CW level.
Or they could get really weird and go with my other longtime vision for the game:
Instead of per-player PS limits like CC and BFU, there would be a total team PS limit, and you could use as many (or as few) players as you want, as long as the sum of their PS is below a certain level.
Under this vision, you could choose to represent your clan solo while playing a single leviathan, and the other team might have 8 low PS cars. I suspect that the traditional CW builds and small teams would still win most of the time, but at least it would make it more accessible for more people.
Devs don’t care about the endgame stuff, their main focus is to milk newcomers that play for ~100 matches, buy a battlepass or a pack, repeat a few times and leave.
There’s a simple solution people have been saying for years now. Just give out guaranteed uranium, stop clanwalling the relics, allow all people to gain resources and coins and end-game tier builds and parts instead of gatekeeping it. Nobody wants to join the super speshul miracle magical spiritual elitist #endgame club made out of a few asshats and assholes with as ridiculous demands for acceptance to it as clan wars schedules and in-game prices for everything
There is no reason to play because of these reasons. You can’t expect a mode that does it’s hardest to only be accessible and reward just the select few to attract any kind of new players, or even old players who never got into clan wars.
Does not help that it also condenses all the regular pvp problems (rampant cheese, aim assist aimbotting, balancing issues and blatantly op parts that defeat everything else, toxic groups of people who appear to be mentally around the age of 10 and make you worry for the future because they’re old enough to legally drive and vote) to a more concentrated degree. It just takes everything that makes regular pvp suck ass and boosts it up, making the entire mode be like a concentrated pile of suck that sucks harder than the usual suck
I have a better question, does any company legit thinks that someone, somewhere will buy their medical services / get a loan from them / etc from a dead forum that barely gets 10 human traffic per day?
Maybe if it will be changed to clan vs PVE AI with better strategy. Maybe it will help be more fun :). Players behaviour are almost like monkey they jump, hide, sometimes, show head with smile and than again hide its not fun
The problem with that is a scheduling issue. If the clans had a real “bulletin board” where each member could post messages for other clan members to read, such as “I’m gonna be on at 4 PM if anyone wants to do XXX”, it might help. It might also help in keeping clan members more active, if they know others are looking forward to playing with them.
Sadly, I don’t think that will happen. without new players coming in to retain what has been lost, the situation is now dire. I know you only posted this years back, but you ain’t missing anything.
In fact? The clan scene is practically non existent in 2026. Even kindness was abandoned in favour of inciting misery if you can believe that! GMs are literally useless (Citing current ongoing harassment of various individuals including myself) and actually trade accounts with one another without facing consequences.
You were wise to have never returned dude. Things have royally gone to shit since you’ve left, and gaijin is months away from delivering the final blow by the time I typed this.
