Arena 9k - Show us Your Builds - Mini-CWs

Looking at my history, less than 10% of my games last more than 3 minutes. I play mid and high PS ranges.

Is that double cricket?

I wonder if triple cricket fits in 9k? Hmmmm

It is 2 crickets on the omnibox. Great thing about that build is that nothing blocks the crickets so it got full range of motion so your not self blocking shots, 2 of those thin steppenwolf bumpers attached vertically on the front that kind of makes the build look even more like a cricket with the ck I got from last bp.

I have two spread upgraded crickets paired with the steppe and they work surprisingly well as for accuracy. I’ll try to get a pic later. How much difference are you seeing from the leg accuracy gain? Trying to figure out if I should move that build onto the legs.

I haven’t taken notice because I ain’t played with it very much but I find the cricket hard to use anyways.

I’m devoting all my blueprints now to this PS bracket, and really enjoying playing just normal PVP at this range. I think a lot of people are building in preparation for this mode, as I’m getting lots of full games with a very narrow PS spread.

Here’s some more things I’ve been playing with:

I want to build a fast cannon build like you have. Not sure what cannon
I want to use yet.

Side note: Do you ever try to hit 9k exactly?

If you’re going for a fast cannon build, try the oppressor/buggy wheel combo. I know it’s not for everyone, but it really helps with those slow turning weapons.
I might try swapping in elephants, but I suspect most of the action for this mode will be mid/close range so decided to try fatman first.

And no, I never try for exactly 9000. I just build as close as I can. Usually end up a bit over initially, and then swap things out until I get under the limit.
I’m very much a “good enough” kind of person.

For 9K, I believe that only Fatmans and Quasars are serious threatening cannons. Both should be fused for bullet speed and blast radius or reload of course.

I have seen a clan mate recently put in serious work with Quasar, Catalina hover with Hertz as the co driver. He would charge up on bots then start blasting builds apart. He would aim for the back to hit modules with Hertz and get some big pops. Hertz perk doesn’t take effect if you miss your shot, so once it is charged, your next shot is a Hertz shot. Elephants might be good, but I’ve never seen anyone do anything great with them.

Yeah, as of right now I don’t plan to play a cannon build in mini-CWs  but I do plan to build one and post it for people that do.

When I get around to it I’ll most likely use fatman.

Low clearance wheel pack went on sale right when a wheel fuse event happened. When the pack hit the price dropped fast and I took advantage.

I always wanted fused Low Clearance wheel, so I fused up a set and built this beast.

2000+ HP - speed 110 - double hammerfall - 9k exact (All fused but hammers - they screwed me on this fuse event… I have 4 hammer but this last event wouldn’t let you do Hammerfalls)

Nice paint & sticker job on that, too. Torerro?

Yes it is Torero. I also run Falcon to add extra accuracy for stripping guns.

This thing is crazy fast.

A Fused low clearance st wheel that is fused for power only has 3% power drain.

I also rebuilt the car to fit Oppressor Engine.

I was sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out how having a Falcon on that thing could help with accuracy.
Then, I started looking at it to see WHERE you’d mounted it.

Very cool man.

I still have not made a build with those new tracks.

I have more gear then time

I have the same problem, even though I have nowhere near as much stuff as you do.
These tracks are pretty good IMO. Fast enough, and definitely durable enough. Small tracks might be a bit stronger, but these are better at protecting things.
If I had porcs, I would definitely try them with these tracks.

Tracks do require a different mindset and driving approach than wheels or strafing builds. Always takes me a few matches to get the hang of them when I’ve had some time away from them.
Going to make something 9kPS with the tank tracks next, but haven’t decided on weapons/cabin yet.
