I’m feeling the opposite way: while I currently use those parts for light low durability fast cars, I would rather be able to use them to better protect my car, even if it means I need to trim down mass elsewhere.
Different strokes I guess!

Now that master is Medium cabin we only have ONE legendary light cabin that is completely useless in general gaming? I do believe it might have some special CW use, but otherwise Griffon is a joke.
Griffon is a PvE cab as it is really good for breaking AI lock.
Griffon is great in PVP, but I am very sad they reduced its top speed. It’s a legendary light cabin, so it should be at least as fast as the fastest epic cabin.
Nevertheless, the perk is good in PVP. I’ll often use it without a cloak, when making smaller fast builds. Most people don’t notice you when your name isn’t hovering above you in red.
It’s very good in Levi clanwars. When griffon perk is activated the enemy Levi can not shoot you. 10s of the enemy Levi not being able to shoot you? That’s a lot. Especially if your a griffon Levi.
On that note it’s also a very good normal clanwars and PvP cab. The perk may seem useless to you but it is very affective. Especially on a lancer build. When your playing against higher level very aware players it’s not going to be easy to sneak up in them. You’ll need a griffon to pull it off sometimes.
Its very specific at least and to my impression way to close to ghost perk. Its “playing with invisibility” - what if I dont want to cloak? There are so many possible fast and light builds - but no legendary perks for a light AC or fast melee or whatever. Its just an ultra-specific meta.
If u don’t want to cloak u can still use the cabs perk. It hides you from radars. And things with ai aiming won’t attack you. For ten seconds. Very usefull.
The perk is still useful for long range AC builds. Makes it a lot harder for enemies to figure out where you are shooting them from. And I’m not sure why you would think it isn’t useful for melee, as that’s an obvious use for it.
This never plays a factor to me. Better is Better.
They could just add an alternate node selection kind of like how you can set the default stance forward or backward on bigrams. It could just swap node placement from side to front. Players could use it however they wanted then.
Sidecucks can’t git gud on regular builds. Pity on them
Some things you just can’t build properly on front builds. So u have to make a sideways build.
For example a yongwang build that fits entirely inside of two aegis bubbles center and has the gun behind the cabin.
Also lighter mastadon builds are a bit too tippy when you fire on hovers or tracks or omnis Imo. Sideways omni mastadon builds are just so much more stable in terms of recoil.
People saying sideways hovers are way better than normal ones are a little full of it. There’s only some builds that are better on sideways builds. Otherwise front facing builds are just as affective.
Also people talking like what Kehich just posted are also in that same bs boat. Just full of crap…
We have frontal wheels now, so why not?
Or frontal hovers?
