Bots in pvp are really not necessary

The matchmaking system has been putting players of similar close powerscores into a match together for years now.
And filling it with bots when it finds 8 people to divide in 2 teams to reduce player wait times.

I was there at the turn of the millenium when internet gaming just started.
And some multiplayer games gave buffs to lower level players facing higher level opponents in team deatchmatch games, because there werent many players back then.

All crossout needs to do is bring a wider range of powerscores together, calculate the average PS of the team, and give a buff to lower level guys so they can still compete.

For example, a 7k game with a 4k player getting 15% extra damage and hp.
In a system that gets you a 5% buff for each 1000ps you are below the teams average power score.
you could bring alot more players of high and low powerscores together, instead of fighting separate matches with 8 stupid bots in the game.

that sort of system would be easy to exploit by seal clubbers and would make the game inconsistent

Seal clubbing is bringing meta builds to fight new low powerscore players.
How exactly would the seal clubbers exploit my suggested system when they are both at low powerscore?

put high damage weapons on garbage builds and exploit the damage boost

Did you mean seal clubbers getting a damage boost when facing a higher PS enemy team?
Sure i can see them getting a kill or 2, before getting clobbered by other players who are not their usual seal clubbing targets but more experienced players with better builds.

Maybe they should not have divided the dwindling player base between next step and classic.
