Buffing/changing parts and how you'd do it

So there’s a lot of straight out bad parts and parts that simply do not function. Some of these might have been ignored by the devs, some might have been given some random buff or changed in some way where it feels like they just spun a wheel to decide what they do. So how would you change a part or certain parts? What would you have done differently than any recent attempt at a buff they might have gotten?

For meat grinders, the buff of resisting fire damage, or was it heating rate, just does not do absolutely anything to the flaws of this movement part. Instead I would give them an actual perk outside le meelee damage. It does not really even count as a perk by this point, the damage is minimal and they are mostly too slow to ever make proper use of that, and too big of targets all together. If dealing meelee damage is a perk, then why does the Shiv get a perk when other teal movement parts do not?

Instead I’d give them a proper perk, where once they “spin up” like a minigun would, they gain straight up massive bullet damage and considerable meele damage resistance, enough to be considered a perk, due to spinning so fast. The perk goes away if your speed drops to a certain point, or you come to a full stop, and you need to spin up the augers again to get the perk going. Something like that. I feel like that would be way more useful than a random “Yeah slap some fire resistance on it I don’t really care”

The biggest flaw with these is that it’s a huge slow moving part that gets shot off by absolutely everything with ease, especially when you try to run 4 in higher PS. It would be neat that instead of being used as a random armor part on spider builds this could be an actual considerable movement part

Meatgrinders need their diagonal acceleration back. Thats what made worms a thing. They need their grip and wedge shaped side hitboxes back too. A real perk would be nice too, but they need driving mechanics that feel good again otherwise they will always be meh.

the easies way to buff(/nerf) something in this game…imo…would be adding more codrivers.

this might not be obvious to many but, a lot of “parts” in this game have little or no benefits from current CDs which makes parts that do feel more OP than they might be if proper care is taken with codrivers…
at least, that’s my “2 cents”

I’d start with a proper brake. I’ve never really used the Meatgrinder, but I assume it used to have the same insta-braking trick as the Omni. The Omni could brake on the spot by tapping the key for any other direction than the curent one. I now have to press+hold the keys for the exactly opposite direction - which makes things harder when moving diagonally. Same for the Atom. I understand that these 3 movement parts use the same mechanics, and any changing to the way they handle and brake affects all 3.
