Building problems in the garage

I’m having problems building in the garage
I downloaded a build of mine from the exhibition to a parking lot in the garage, when i assemble it in the garage and start building, the parts come off but i can’t put it down in the ground.

When i try to put it back, i get the same message and the part doesn’t connect with the build .

Do you have the same issue?

I’d have to see the build. There are some other happenstances that can cause it. As far as putting it down normally goes you kind of have to look for a clear area in the garage and try to find it what it thinks is ground level. It’s not always on the floor though. Just move the part around until its not red.

it also can depend wether your car is being lifted or not (as far as putting stuff down).
still dunno why it won’t “stick it on your car…”

It’s not that.
I just found a second issue.

the build is this one.

  1. issue
    the one i was talking
My build is on the ground like it is in the picture above.

the part is on the ground , it should stay there but no, i get that message of barrel collision ( i just didn’t screenshot that message in time, but it’s there). and i can’t put it back ( it stays red )

I tried with a different build. and no problem there

I don’t know what’s happening.

  1. issue.

the energy and guns.

In the first screenshot, 3 of my 4 guns are in red, i have 1 more energy point that i should have, when i fixed that ( by removing a seal ) the guns remain red, 3 of them.
I don’t think it’s a hitbox thing

because when i fire them, only two fire one at the normal colour and one with red colour

then i honestly have no freakkin’ idea…the car in the air thingy i said was just for clarification…weired…

That’s what I was talking about. but not the put it back part. It the game thinks it’s colliding with something when it’s red, it’s why you can’t drop the part. you need to move it around sometimes even up into the air a bit to find where it think it should be ok with sitting.

As far as the guns and them firing go I would try to mount them in a different location temporarily just to make sure it’s not a clipping issue with the model turning them red. The slightest little change to a model can make things clip. The hidden layer of the hitbox is normally what is at fault.

But it makes no sense.( at least the ones at the back )
if you draw a line across the middle of my build you can see that’s symmetric.
So, why a weapon is normal and the other is not?
If it was a hitbox kind of issue, the two would be in red, right?
And what the back armour have anything to do with the weapons? even if there’s a problem with the weapons, why does it reflect on the back armour?

I have more builds with that same back, if it was a problem with the first build because a hitbox change it would be also reflected on the others, right?

Here’s another one.

See? No problems there either.

I could rebuild it from the ground up, from scratch, but i only need to update the armour scheme not redo it all over again.

Assuming a model is symmetrical doesn’t make it symmetrical even if it looks like it could be. Just being off a little can cause a problem.

It often is but sometimes it’s order of assembly that causes the issue too. There’s buggie stuff that goes on sometimes in build mode where pins that should lock together done turn on the F key pin mode and see if you can get it to line up on camera differently and attach.

The hitbox change I was thinking was for the portion of the cab and weapons issue more so. It could also be angle of inclination for the guns I know the changed a lot of those after heli’s were introduced. So like I might lift the gun by 1 pin and see if it changes color or remove the bumper in front of it and see if that does it.

If the roof isn’t actually symmetrical in it’s hitbox that could cause 1 being red and one not being red. Sometimes even being too close to the model with the hit box can cause issues. The roof racks sometimes have small bends in the piping that cause non-symmetrical aspects to happen.

This is mostly stuff I’ve experienced before and what I tried to troubleshoot it.

does ur energy points have anything to with it.top pic says 30/29 in the red.the rest are under 29.
just a thought.

He removed a seal later to fix that.
