Seriously is there some weight cut off to when builds become slow an unmanageable that I missed?
Fed up of trying to build something and then when you put a bit of armour on it the fucking thing is unresponsive garbage. WTF is the point of mass limit and tonnage when this happens?
Wheels, legs and tracks seem fine but Hovers, Omni, Atoms, Meat Grinders… it’s like anything that’s quick and can strafe just gets fucked in the ass with a big stick when you add some weight!
It’s called
Inertia
The game’s physics engine was rebuilt a little while back, I think. Very under-the-hood change
Isn’t that what the mass limits and tonnage is supposed to overcome? They need to scrap that, more overcomplicated nonsense making the game not fun!
Might be a silly question, but I don’t know if you’re a newer player or veteran…do you use the right engines? They all give weight and speed boosts to varying degrees. Also try lightweight frames instead of the solid ones.
Very aware!
Sorry not a building assistance thing just a general gripe, tbh there does seem to be a crossover between fast and agile to slow clunky garbage, just wondering what the magic formula is!
The devs are just making sure nothing beats fused hovers and epic wheels. My omni builds are so fucking sluggish when changing direction or strafing + steering.
My hovers are fused for acceleration efficiency, my cabin is also fused, Nova with 9/10 power, using power upgraded colossus engine, Yuki in the passenger seat… It’s a better setup than most players will achieve but still utter garbage handling with any sort of armour compared to any wheeled build which will out accelerate, out turn and out brake it even being over tonnage. (I set up a loop test track in my garage and it’s not even close!)

just start to cheat like the Russians do . no cap or restrictions on their side …
10 ton russian slugs outrun boosted lightweight builds and stop on a dime. its ridiculous.
tbh if I could hack just making hovers and omni’s behave properly I would definitely do it!
You’ve clearly never played Sprocket…
