There should also be present a permanent link to the official submission form similar to how the bug section is linked: ( Suggestion for Crossout future development )
Description suggestion: “Collaborative section for game Ideas & suggestions”
Why should people use this category? What is it for?
Players would use this category space for collaborating on ideas to be submitted via the official submission form. It would also allow for other players to also see the types of ideas and suggestions players are interested in and how other players react to the ideas prior to submitting their own as well. Links to the forum posts could also be included on the official form to provide a copy of record and discussions over the submission.
How exactly is this different than the other categories we already have?
Currently there is no designated area for the vast number of ideas players come up with let alone work on them with other players for the game. As it is now these many of these off ideas often never get submitted but rather lost among the many other dialogs that occupy the general section of the forum.
What should topics in this category generally contain?
The topical list would be the same those listed in the drop-down box offered on the official submission form. The items listed in the drop-down list could be used as tags as suggested above within the sub-sections the help maintain good sort order and searchability.
Do we need this category? Can we merge with another category, or subcategory?
The old forum used to have a pre-moderated version of this which was much enjoyed until the idea submission form came out and the section was hidden from normal user view permissions. The issue of the requirement to pre-moderate of the ideas had created a bottleneck effect which cause extra work for mods and generally led to ideas normally being spread out into the general discussion section. With the official form we no longer need the requirement of the pre-moderation, but the ideas players still end up being posted on the forum as they are enjoyable for players to talk about. The same conditions still apply currently on the newest iteration of the forum.
