Changes to clan activities. Our current vision

I like both of you guys, but I don’t think either of you (or me) are very representative of the normal average player.

I’m not saying the game couldn’t be improved, just that I’m pretty sure that all the changes I would make would also piss off half the forum, so I’m not convinced that any of us have the answers.

Ask five people here how to save the game, and you will get five different answers that contradict each other.

For a long time, I assumed that I was a normal average player, but I’ve come to realize that there may not actually be a normal average player.

I think they’ve actually dumped a lot of new stuff into the game since 2.0 came out. Maybe too much. My concern is that they are actually going too fast and rolling past a lot of things that have needed their attention for a long time. Rather than dumping new features into the game and doing massive overhauls on fundamental game mechanics (camera steering, copters, mechs, ammo, structure parts, etc), menus (not really an improvement), I feel like they could get better results with less effort by servicing the original vision this game had when it started.

Ya, like that. They need to slow down and stop painting over these features, I think. Ether remove them, so they aren’t wasting space on my hard-drive, or if they thought they were such a great idea in the first place, why not develop these features? Co-drivers in particular seem especially tragic. They need to finish what’s on their plate before getting seconds, IMO.

I sort of feel like they do what they can with the crew they have, and right now they are leaning a lot on somebody who’s skill-set is with menus to sort all this sprawl out. I think they’ve made a mess out of it too, so I doubt it will happen overnight.

Also, I think with Supercharged 2.0 came some new software which they have been exploiting to bring us things like the camera-steering, mechs, and copters, and perhaps bridging the console disparities and bringing them together. All of this hit us like a ton of bricks, one after the other.

If it was my game, and I suddenly had the ability to add these features, I might also be anxious to introduce them. They aren’t bad features, in and of themselves, but they need some help integrating them into this game premise that wasn’t originally well suited for this sort of thing.

Seeing them do more clan-war BS is sort of disheartening, but at the same time a lot of people like this feature and it is broken. They do need to find a way to resolve clan-wars…then I’d like them to just polish the other features they have left behind…after they bring us boats. :grin:

They just rebalance a few co-drivers actually, so they haven’t abandoned that.

But I would like to see some new ones added. I’ve got lots of experience points I want to spend.
