That’s why I was thinking… If MGs ware made the opposite of shotguns… Mgs to do good damage at ranges, but once they are within 30 meters, the damage drops… Makes no sense when logic is used, but…
But melee IS the lowest skill weapon, especially low PS.
My new friend I’ve mentioned a few days ago, that I’ve got to play Crossout, … he had a hard time as a newbie, but the moment he got him self Borrers, he does 3-4 kills every match.
Directly into the dark side, not even a minute in the light of god emperor? Show him how Spitfire dogs work, so his soul is ready for the abyss of frozen hell.
Haha, yeah, he did try Spitfires… Got those free of that promo code… He liked them, but he’s new, not used to driving left, shooting right. Been hugging walls and whatnot… So I suggested Borers to get him to feel some blood and mvps. You know, get him hooked… It worked.
He’ll get bored of them and will start trying out weapons just as he is getting used to the game.
Guess his road to the light takes a taste of the dark side.
Or, spoiled by the unholy ways, he will just get frustrated and quits once he realizes using any other wepon at low PS makes him the prey the seal-clubbing on PS below 8k is significant quit moment. Its best PS in terms of possible veriety in my opinion, but it is so poisoned by the unbelanced system.
Yeah… But if he got prayed upon from the start anyway (which he was with Sledgehammers. Docker Borers wrecked him), he’d get frustrated anyway.
Unfortunately there are only two choices in the lower brackets the way things are. Go Borers (or other melee if those get nerfed), or be pray.
But there are some counters…
I switched from Tacklers to Caucasus on tracks. Only to spite melee, and yes, it’s a great counter. Because I don’t need to destroy the guns when they are on the move and center cabin is ok to shoot at, Caucasus does a great job tracking their movement. When they come and try to eat through my tracks, Cauc up close does OKish dmg since it won’t bullet spread that close.
And you know what? Hunting down melee and sending them to the observer mode tastes like Swiss chocolate.
I find the chase to be extremely boring, and not as fast as it should be to be entitled a “chase” because nobody is really doing any chasing, feels like a glorified, easier raid against leviathans.
And the reward rate sucks. Not my cup of tea at all, feels like they’ve made too many compromises and the general speed nerf made this mode suck
