Cheetah is OP AF, this makes no sense

Daze only disables the ability to fire weapons when in range.
But I wonder if Interceptor might work?
Probably not, but worth testing.
I believe that Kami’s perk does work against them.

Making a drone build and pissing about the cheetah being OP… Ok then we’ll ask the devs to take the recharge perk off the cheetah, would that be better? You wouldn’t have to use it then and have more options

ty captain obvious……just joking…but yeah that should work by deffinition…i was thinking literally at the “disabler module(s)” (any of those 2 that might perhaps work in some way as a counter, not just for imugi, but other similar ones as well…like that stungun crossbow or the kamikaze drones…)

and if there aren’t any…then we need…

H - 4/20 “USURPER”
Legendary Module
energy 2
works similar to Daze module, only, instead of deactivation, the module takes control of nearby drones/turrets for a similar rotation as Daze. if the player is killed while USURPER is active drone related patches can be obtained by enemies…
…for them drone haters…

If it comes to that…you see ? that could be not that bad

But that’s another discussion, it not affects just only drones but everything.

In the case of drones, yes, cheetah and BFs, if you do a drone build without them, or with just one of them you will be having a build not as dynamic ( fast paced action) and you will lose part of the already low impact you may have in a game.
If you want to be aggressive, have fun doing so, then those two parts are mandatory.

Today i played with my Cyclones, Caucasus and whirls, all of them i find kind of meh, they are sluggish, slow turning, and so on, but today i mounted an Oppressor and suddenly they fell fine. I had to give up some armour
Now if i decide to change weapon type ( as i did before ) i will be leaving a trap to enter another trap.
Why people use Hadron cab with king mine?
Have anyone built a Hadron build without a king mine and why Hadron? if not for the perk? Why not any other cab with the same perk?

Having my designs, limited by the parts i have to use because of the perks ( the other discussion ).
Now, imagine if movement parts and engines and cabs didn’t have any perks, we could build whatever with whatever parts we see fit.
If perks would come from other source we would have much more freedom to create a build without those choices be detrimental to the build performance .

As is, if i want to keep having fun, with whatever build and build type i feel like i must use those same freaking parts over and over again, after a while it gets stale it gets boring.

Hey man, let me put this way, i can’t build a walker…yet, i can’t build many things, but i can build any of my builds with my eyes closed, Puncher e.g. in a heartbeat ( i disassemble it and assembly it so many time i know it by heart).
I build Bruiser ( my latest build ) from scratch in record time and it’s quite different from it’s predecessor, Storm Chaser, but it’s the same thing, not only that but once finished the test phase was very quick i was already thinking in the next step, fused Inferno cab
Puncher, Bruiser A or Bruiser B are quite good against cannons, melee and dogs ( fire, ice).
What’s next trap?

Not really sure what your argument is… certain items have certain perks that work well with other things, why is that bad?

Because it can lead to stagnation . Not because of perks alone.
Perks tied to parts, you may find yourself building the same thing and going in circles rinse and repeat from build type from build type.
But if we add other factors like
Build restrictions due to past mechanic abuses , issues not properly addressed ´.
You certainly have noticed that we can’t have certain part combinations or mount parts in a certain way , only one way.
Changes in the hitboxes and things like that, all combined it hurts diversity, originality, innovation, things are pretty much more confined than years ago
There always were METAS builds, and they will always exist but the game is slow to fight them and when they do, they also take away the ability to fight them.
Putting the perks coming from another way other then parts and cabs could be a good way to counter that dilapidation of ways to express ourselves, that’s happening…
We could have parts with core properties and select after building the perks we would get.
In the end we could have the exact same build ( perk wise ) but with total different structure ( looks) .
you could have the same build type ( even with the same weapons ), same perks, but totally different from one another.
After almost 3 years of using the same things, some of them we can mount only one way…yeah, after a time it can get boring

If I understand what you’re saying, I think it’s similar to what Doc has said in the past about the perk system.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I enjoy the puzzle of figuring out ways to maximize the interplay of various perks. But it also constricts creativity, and makes the game less diverse.
Without the perk system, there wouldn’t be enough variables to avoid having a couple cabins at the top of the heap just for their speed, power, and mass limits. That would result in even less variety.

the cheetahs perk used to be more overpowered then it was before. it used to reduce the recharge rate of all drones, some modules, abilities, etc by 25% per 100m i believe the distance was… and this counted for the aegis prime as well. imagine that being activated every few seconds with a cheetah on it. ran into some assholes before in clan wars running 3 aegis on a skinny hit and run build with a cheetah and theyd pop an aegis whenever they ran in and would cycle them when it was about to run out. thats what got the aegis and the cheetah nerfed… then again it couldve been the grenadiers to.

The perks would be there just they are now but implemented in a way where it wouldn’t be in the way of how we build, that would be the only difference.
Or at least that’s the intent.

Nah man get rid of ALL perks, that’s the only fair solution

I never said we should get rid of perks

No, but seriously the more I think about it the more I think how great an idea it is. We can then all build whatever the hell we like and then there’s no OP combos or exploits… How is that bad?

Screw all this nonsense, I’m on team blue from now on  :ok_hand:

Huh, I was looking at stats earlier, and I hadn’t realized that Cheetah now has a higher top speed than Oppressor again. For a while that have been reversed.
