Christmas event idea

A wishlist with every part in the game, including untradable decor and stickers. You can select up to fifteen items, no item more than once and no more than two parts of legendary and relic rarity (wheels give two ST and two standard), and you’re guaranteed five items, with each subsequent decreasing the percentage of getting it by 25% (75% to get 6, 50% to get 7, etc.) The given items are untradable and do not take up storage space.

What are your guy’s thoughts? (Shortened version of the discord post, there you can’t give real feedback)

I agree that this player-base could use some actual Christmas cheer. It’s been a kinda rough year. Even Poony4u started a gripe thread this year. It was every bit as mean and ruthless as you’d expect.

I like the “Letter’s to Santa” gimmick too. What kid doesn’t? I think that idea alone has potential. They should do something with that.

Personally, “random” reward schemes turn me off. I’m not inclined to find those types of things alluring, at least not when offered by the hands of a video game franchise. It’s always so disappointing…and on Christmas too? Do you want me to hang myself?

I think whatever they have planned for this December, they have already planned for this December.

as much as id like this idea i feel that a ton of people would just go for 2 relics right off the bat with legendaries being the 3rd, 4rth and 5th options. i think only one relic should be guaranteed should someone chose it but thats just me i suppose :man_shrugging:

… would actually love getting a second devourer though :joy:

That’s kinda the point of a Christmas wishlist…?

And you’re limited to two of either rarity, you can’t get two relics and two legendaries, only one of each or both of one rarity. So, only untradable relics or legendaries, then the rest are epics or below

IDK. For Santa Claus, maybe. Have you been naughty or nice?

This is Crossout though, and I’m not sure they really appreciate us the same way as St.Nick might. I find their lotteries are usually disappointing and aren’t something I enjoy or pursue. In fact, Targem’s ability to piss people off while giving them free stuff is unparalleled, IMO. I’ve never seen anything like it, anywhere.

I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, just something I’m not likely to go for. Also, I think if they did want to perform some charity towards its players, it should be focused on the noobs. I think they need to encourage better player retention and improve popularity in general. Then maybe they could loosen their grip on the veteran players and stop pandering to whales so much.

I do like the Letters to Santa idea.

LMBO with the way Ive been complaining about the game I’d probably get a chunk of coal. Wait a minute, Gretta Thorn in the a** berg may have something negative to say about a chunk of coal!
But having a list of choices and click the button and the system does the wheel of misfortune spin and gives you what ever loot it thinks you don’t need ! :hugs:

Exactly. I’d rather see the noobs get something good that would maybe keep them interested in the game, than the veteran players. And no, I’m not a democrat. In the meantime, I’m off to clean up my friends list…alot of noobs who were excited about the game until they realized they’d never have anything decent in a reasonable amount of time, and gave up.

It picks items from the list you put together. There is no randomization if you pick five items, and there is little chance randomization if you pick 6.

you pick a relic and it gives you a rare.

I upgraded 5 special stickers, 500 scrap, 500 copper, etc. for a repair kit. This is the second time i’ve been burned. Never again.

It’ll only give you a rare if you select a rare. I understand that Targem doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to things like this, but a few people don’t understand the concept I’m trying to put forwards here.

i was joking ya goof!

To quote a famous Scotsman, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

I kind of miss the giant krampus robot that would roam around your test area garages. They need to bring that part of it back.
