We always had that one guy… and we worked him in too.
CW seem empty because you face the same 3 or 4 teams constantly until you move up through the brackets. And as you move up, you basically face the same 3-4 teams until you move up out of that also.
If you don’t like this 6K ps to join the cw that was created over 6 years ago when there were no vehicles with such high ps like now. Just ask the developers to increase the PS range to play cw. A simple solution and you don’t have to talk a lot about it and make a problem out of nothing.
Hey man. As a player who has been around for 5+ years and has played clanwars since month 4 i have some advice.
Clanwars is very playable. Its just a small community now and clanwars is full of hardcore vets. Since day 1 youve needed a pretty good ps to even graze the bottom of clanwars. You need minimum of 12k ps builds for the most part.
You guys are way under powerscore. Its an endgame mode. You guys are just mid powerscore.
Just do the baby version of clan wars called “clan confrontation” for now. The powerscore max is 9,000 powerscore. Even at that level youre just a thousand low in powerscore.
You dont need clanwars. Youre so low in powerscore a relic is like half your builds powerscore so youve no need for uranium anyways.
Yes, the baby-seal version is what it looked like last time I was in there.
I played two matches just now. It was awful. I got steam rolled so bad it was demoralizing, and I just logged off…only had 17 minutes to participate in it anyway. That was more than enough, though. Didn’t get any points scored towards that tutorial either. Neat. Game.
Anyway, what it looks like to me is going on was; if you can’t get to the seals, make’m come to you. Now you’ve got a lot of kids stretching beyond their inventories to participate in what looks like a seal trap to me. Organized veterans in META-rods just disintegrated my team in literally seconds, both times.
Looks like people have figured out how to work this system pretty good. I don’t expect this dynamic to change, no matter what the developers do.
I can’t imagine how this mode will win over many new fans, but IDK. It’s not really clan wars lite. It’s more like a seal lover’s cafe, and they ring the dinner bell every, what, two hours?
I’ve been playing more confrontation battles than you, and while I have been the victim of a steamroll, I’ve also had lots of close matches and wins. Playing solo does increase the chances you’ll end up on a bad team, but play enough games and you’ll get your turn on a strong team.
The smaller teams do force a more cautious gameplay, and feels a bit more like CW as a result. Charging in will almost always result in a loss, unless you end up on a full team of fast close range builds.
Are you only playing it on your free account? What epic items does that account have?
You definitely don’t need fused gear or anything above epic items. And a lot of special items work well in this mode.
You also don’t need three builds. Most of the time it doesn’t give me enough time to select another build anyway.
If you tell us what gear your free account has, we might be able to suggest a load out that could work. Augers with gremlins/goblins is a low budget approach that can work.
The problem wasn’t really mine to fix. It’s like I said; kids need to take the META seriously in there or not play it, but I think they are trying it anyway (because what choice do they have?) and are overextending themselves to do it, and getting rolled by well equipped pros, and by extension so am I for being a loner.
I did great in there yesterday, because I got lucky and had randoms that played like a team, and could hold their own for more than a few seconds…still didn’t get any points for it towards my tutorial challenge, so meh. Neat?
As for my f2p account; lol. no. There isn’t much to work with there. I’ve got a good Machine-gun wedge in there, about as META of a build as that account can produce, but thanks.
Just warn the other kids that going in there without some META of one kind or the other is pointless. I can’t META for everybody, and ya, them running head long into the enemy’s lap single file, one at a time, isn’t a good strategy.
I salute them for trying. I mean, what else can they do? But, clearly there are a lot of aces out there trying that are under-equipped, and under-experienced, and over-extending themselves to meet the new demands, and the vets know it, and are bottom feeding on them.
There just isn’t anything effective about trying to stretch blue tier weapons and gear into an PS 6K+ clan war against min-maxed vets, but what are they supposed to do?
I’d have to assume that a lot of these kids don’t even have half the structure parts available to them to just build whatever they want, and are doing the best they can with what they have.
That situation is not going to change, and is exacerbated by aces not being able to get badges and therefore structure parts that would help them out, and by vets who “just logged on and got 2000 badges.”
You do need to be a “little” more serious and you can’t jump on a piece of 5k art and expect to win, BUT I have had a few battles were I logged and and looked around and my full team (besides me) were box builds that looked like they just learned to build AND we still won
Most of the time that will not happen if the team is awful, but wins feels pretty good when you know your team is bad.
I’ll jump on a support build with Kapcans when I get a bad team. If I can trap the targets for them they have a chance
I do find it a challenge to play with non-CW guys in this mode, but it does seem like people are learning fast. You just don’t want to be that guy all by himself. Stay with your group.
Bruh. Of course its going to be tough. Its an easier powerscore to reach to play, but youre still grouped against clans with good teamwork using well built optamized rides. Its not like you can keep all the good players out of the mode. I mean i played six games today with one teamate and lost one round. It didnt seem like an issue. It was fun. It was like a super chill version of clanwars. Theres no wall there stopping players from getting out of the safe league.
The only bad thing about the mode is now 8-9k ps in regular pvp is getting swamped by more clans and sweaty builds.
I just played CW for the first time in a few months with a new clan that was in Rust. We faced clans in Tin and pretty much everyone had fused legendary weapons.
Shouldn’t the leagues work by having teams with similar ranking scores face each other?
This game mode is unplayable for new players.
The CW pool has become so stagnant that few people want to play.
3-4 years ago, players had less inventory so Rust and Tin had more teams with special and epic weapons. I remember when my team with Off-Meta builds could make it too low bronze and make a little bit of Uranium. This game used to be doable with off-meta builds if your build was well-built and you knew what you were doing with it. This game seems to punish you if you don’t chase the meta.
CW has become Whale Wars. Be a Whale or GTFO
CW’s problem is a symptom of an underlying problem that has only gotten worse. The widening gap between the Free to Play, and the Whales. Some of this is nature, players who have been playing this game for a long time will have more equipment than newer players. However, the Devs have made it worse. Expiring blueprints, no more crafting events, it’s made the wealth gap much worse than it has to be.
