Crafting on a Budget: Which Affordable Parts Made a Big Impact on Your Builds?

Looking to learn how to create epic builds without breaking the bank. What affordable parts have truly transformed your vehicles? Share your top picks and budget-friendly tips to help fellow builders maximize performance on a tight budget!

Lots of people (except me lol) use blastoffs instead of hermes because they are smaller and less energy, thus easier to pack into a build. It is also cost-effective!!

DON’T FUSE!!! Fusing is usually a rip off because you get random fuses you don’t want. The only exceptions I can think of are radiators and coolers (only seals, shivers and maybe aquilo if you have money are worth fusing IMO, otherwise just wait) because they add efficiency no matter what. Just beware the mass fuse might make a slight difference, not usually noticeable though. I also fused my expanded ammo for efficiency, which was okay, but you sometimes get the explosion fuses (unless they removed them IDK), which just suck IMO.

For certain helis, you need to aim straight down to target something (like in patrols). This can be done with a scope (such as the TS-1 Horizon), but if you don’t have a scope, simply add a few long sticks out the front or back to move the center of the build and also the camera into a better spot for shooting down. The longer the better, unless it begins to affect the build too much (like if they are too heavy). Also beware if they fall off then you are out of luck. I suggest using frames or small buggy floors to make your sticks, as those are shoot through parts.

Also: don’t forget the free packs, they help out a ton!!

Don’t be afraid of bargains!
Some items are very cheap on the market, but they’re still good items. If you’re not sure the item is useful, find some exhibition builds using that item to get a sense of them.

For a long time, buggy wheels were cheaper than some special wheels, but they’re actually good wheels that synergize well with Seal, Oppressor, Finwhale, and some weapons. They’ve gone up in price now, but still cheaper than the other epic wheels.

As others have said, coolers and rads benefit the most from fusing. It’s not a complete waste to fuse other items, but fusing can waste a lot of resources.

If you have workpieces, some may be worth crafting. Always check the market first though, as sometimes it’s flooded with those items and it’s cheaper to buy.

Avoid quick buying, and put in some low bids and wait. You can save a lot of coin that way, if you’re patient.

How affordable is affordable?

Fused blue radiators and coolers are about as effective as the purple variants so these would be one of my first go-to things to do for a new player.

Generally autocannons are another good one to have, doesn’t matter which ones, they can all be ridiculously effective but imo they are boring a/f to use.

Synthesis are arguably the best all round low PS gun to have, I have 3 fused and would say they are definitely worth it but even standard versions are very good. Also you don’t need anything else with them but a power unit would be amazing.

Maxwell (or Doppler if you can afford it). Get one, DON’T ARGUE! Seriously, radar detectors are one of the MUST HAVE items for at least 1 person on the team, so run one because most players are stupid and don’t. And if you are stupid and don’t get one, definitely have a radio.

I still use blue coolers and they’re easy to fuse. Fuse items you can’t sell, that you have received as free gifts.

Probably not the most powerful, but it is extremely fun to use incinerator on a heli. It isn’t that hard to get it (crafting) and can be used as a centerpiece of a build with blue parts to build around it.

Doppler.

I have never really crafted any parts specifically because epics and beyond usually it’s more affordable to buy them off of the market through selling resources, than to craft them outright

But the epic parts that affected my builds the most were Harpy and Doppler. Explosive weapons used to be really good and cannons and rockets etc very widely used back in the day, but not so much anymore, but during those past times the Harpy had the most use for most of the guns in-game, explosive weaponry was like 2/3rds of all guns in the game

Doppler is by far the most valuable part imo, it just has the most uses and helps not only you, but your teammates. Having one player with a doppler vs not having one on your team can pretty much win or loose the entire match

Radar > Engine > Stealth > Cab > Guns = random Modules = Movement parts is how I’d calss all part in order of importance, a build with a good engine and radar but bad guns is way better than a build with good guns but bad engine and radar. I’d rather have a doppler and a chameleon on a build with a bad cab and guns, than have a good cab+guns build with no stealth or radar coverage
