Crossout launcher won't even start now

I clicked the launcher shortcut like I always do, and this happened:

The window on the bottom is Task Manager, and the CPU usage is 11%, but it says “Too slow CPU”.

Is 11% really too much?? I was just watching a YT video :sob:

EDIT: it worked the second time, but is very slow.

I’ve gotten that message a few times before, and probably will get it again. I just ignore it; it never stopped me from launching the game.

But yeah, it seems like ever since that battleye crap was incorporated into the game, on some maps I get lagging, but not on others. And sometimes it can take a coupla minutes to log in, but the next login might only take the normal time.

Hot tip for devs all over the world: whenever you incorporate a third-party product into your own, and that third-party product has to work for a wide variety of other products, you’ve just thrown your clients to that third-party’s mercy. Write your own proprietary anti-cheat software, dammit, or write your game so it doesn’t need third-party anticheat software.

i get this message almost every day

Never had this message show up, and i thought i had a 13 year old potato PC :joy:

your PC doesnt have enough compute to show the dialog, so the launcher doesnt even try

I found this article (it was posted in a Warthunder forum back in FEBRUARY) about various Battleye problems and Gaijin’s findings and recommended solutions. It’s a pretty extensive article. After reading it, what sticks in my mind is that it’s the player’s fault for the problems associated with Battleye, not Gaijin’s, even though they chose this snoopy piece of sh!t.

Battleye Troubleshooting

It’s a seemingly poor business decision to incorporate some 3rd party software that prevents your clients from playing your games…and now your staff has to investigate this crap instead of working on the game itself. As someone said in the Warthunder forum, “I can say BattleEye really is the best anti-cheat since you cannot possibly cheat if you cannot launch the game”.

just try again, its normal. no worries
