so for the longest time i knew that decorative items add a few things to your vehicles like powerscore and mass… but my question is… why?
the thing is, decorative items are as it says on the tin, decorative. they cant be used to block incoming shots anymore and they arent that durable. so… why do they add powerscore to your vehicles if they dont contribute much to your car? they cant be used as armor and are purely decorative so… why bother adding powerscores to them?
it seems strange to me because commons add 8 - 12, rares add 12 - 27, specials add 17 - 29, epics add 23 - 45 and legendaries add 26 - 46 powerscore.
just… why?

They are also included in the part limit, so when my heavy builds (A.K.A. most of the things I make that are for battle) hit 80 parts of basic needs and then a load of armor, I have no room left for decors. I want to add decor to my heavy builds, but can’t because of the part limit.

i forgot about that bit. honestly they shouldnt contribute to the max limit of your parts. they should function like stickers in that you can only have a certain amount of them on your vehicle.

Decor adds to your rep gain and reward in the match which is why they have a PS attached to them. As far as weight and durability goes I think its just kind of a go with the flow of it being a part of a size.
what reward…?
the only thing you gain from these is, like you said, reputation. its not like they actually give you anything else.
I sometimes use them to push me into a higher powerscore since most are light weight and adding other high ps items that are not decorative are usually heavier.
I don’t understand that either.
reputation can be pointless at a certain point. The focus on the market it’s so freaking huge than XP ( reputation ) turns useless very fast
I would like to pimp my builds up but, as is, between a plow and a decor i think i’m still going for the plow
I still wish we had some cabs/guns/movement parts / just general parts with a perk that boosts something 1% per decorative part on your build, cap somewhere like 20% or 25%
But at the same time, if those deco parts get shot of, you loose some of the perk, so say you have 25 deco parts, you have 25% perk, someone blasts 5 parts off in the midst of battle, you now have 20% perk
Deco parts bloat up PS so much when you want to run many of them, I wish there was some tradeoff to them, extra exp is just not enough by any stretch of the road
They could have done that with the syndicate faction because there is a big car tuning scene in japan of adding random crap on a car like extra lights, becoming cat statues, lanterns, darumakuma etc etc.
Like Dekotora off of the top of my head
