A fun idea, if you got to design a single weapon, and you had to make it just perfect in your own opinion, what would it be like?
Mine would be a bastard child between the helicon and the waltz, firing mechanics and flight trajectory from Helicon (push button, missiles come out, no spinning, no charging up your gun to shoot) and the accuracy and range and possibly speed of the Waltz (I faintly remember the missile “drop” being a bit more on the Helicon compared to the Waltz, waltz feels like it flies in a straight line a bit more).
Perk on the other hand, I feel like going with “Each consecutive hit of the salvo (fires three missiles) decreases blast radius but increases damage” so the first missile has a big blast radius, but the following ones less blast radius but more damage, in theory helping in “drilling” into a build with them.
But if that does not work as I imagine in practice, just extra damage please, no impulse needed, no heating or anything like that, maybe some blast radius as well but honestly Waltz has a pretty solid perk, excluding the increased impulse that feels like it does nothing, and helicon is just too fancy for my taste with the heating and all that, costing in overall damage and performance on a weapon type that already struggles (missiles for the most part just are not that good, they don’t suck but compared to how they were at one point they’ve been turned into pea shooters that sometimes feel like they do no damage at all)
