I like every balance change they do, even if I might not like something.
More often balance changes would be nice.
And I’m just stating my opinion, have to do it alot just to hope it gets to the devs or their team.
And I’m doing it because people like to stay silent. I’m getting sick of hovers, i was silent for years. Now with the Meta worse than ever. Ya I’m done, time to advocate for nerfs
Especially since hover users will attack anyone who wants their op sh1t nerfed. I know it very well now lol. Makes sense why people stay silent. Say the obvious and get attacked by the mob
But i get it, easier wins why would ya’ll want nerfs.
Couldn’t agree more.
More reason I’m in disbelief.
They literally see hovers are the most used movement part
YOU dont know that though. and with more and more movement parts coming into the game we have more diversity then before. i think the most used movement part in the game is battlewalker legs, i see these things everywhere now even in the few pvp matches i did. there were tons of BWL movement parts and your complaining about HOVERS being the op one?
what system do you play on? pc or ps4 / ps5 or xbox?
cause when i play low ps on ps5 i dont come across hovers all that often, its mostly BWL if anything. if it is hovers then i usually see them get absolutely ravaged by my team mates. maybe im playing on the wrong mode? i did the mode that allows BWL and helis so maybe its in classic? idk which modes you play so…
edit to add here: when i do come into contact with a hover build then most of the time i can handle them just fine, i run a flimsy build with 2 blockchains and even those can handle a hover build. im alot faster then a hover to and often times i can just ram into them and shoot off some of their movement parts to cripple them and have my team mates handle the rest.
its not about a few players not buying a BP.
it would have to be hundreds to thousands of players not buying anything, and this sort of movement doesnt come out of thin air
i mean you have the chance to not have the greatest and latest item. you understandably want it, but im just saying that there is always going to be something everyone wants, but for anything to happen, buying would have to stop for good
theoretically all it would take is a similar idea being posted by many players, but maybe thats harder to do than it looks.
ive recently started realising that a considerable part of the most problematic group of players (“whales”) is simply in denial, and not only disagrees that the state of the game is worsening, but actively argues that everything is fine
there are quite a few balance changes, unfortunately all of them favor p2w items or generally dog builds
they definitely have ingame stats, but their most important choices are always revolving around their profits. they are mastering the art of pushing the player to spend money on increasingly absurd things without pushing too hard and making the player quit in anger
Exactly, and this is why your strategy is doomed to failure. You are not going to build an organized movement of thousands of disgruntled players, no matter how much you post on the forum.
You’re close to understanding what I’ve been trying to say.
The reality is that you’re never going to get a unified protest movement all demanding the same changes, because we all have different complaints and perspectives.
Believe it or not, I have lots of complaints about the game, and I know that they are very different from yours. If the devs followed my wishes, you would probably be very unhappy, and similarly, I think most of your ideas would make my game experience worse.
It’s not just about whales vs F2P new players: just read the forum and you can see we all approach the game very differently from each other.
You’re never going to get the unity you would need to steer the company in the direction you want.
Obviously they want to make money, but I disagree that they are skilled at manipulating us into spending lots of money. I’ve been playing for a long time, and never even felt tempted to buy packs or premium or any of the other supposed “cash grab” strategies.
And I don’t think they’re so dumb they think an unbalanced game is good for business. After all, there are regular balance updates, and many of them quite major. Not saying they’re all executed well, but that’s not evidence that they are intentionally creating an unbalanced game to manipulate you into buying overpriced things.
Like most things in life, the flaws of the game are better explained by incompetence than conspiracy.
youre not the target demographic. just look at the number of people with relics and fused items, it must be half the active playerbase. everyone spent many hundreds of dollars to get these items.
obviously they dont want to create an unbalanced game, they simply do whatever brings quick profits.
and adding OP purchasable items brings in a lot of money.
if they could make money without OP items, they probably would. but now its too late and the managers couldnt care less about the ultimate outcome.
it should be easy, there are so few changes needed to make the game 20x better, increase the player count, gameplay quality and probably even their total profits.
nerf OP parts, welcome new players, make things at least remotely affordable, and advertise like they used to.
First of all, how do you know what the target demographic is, and why would you assume there is one specific demographic they are targeting?
Just look at the trajectory of their monetization strategy since the beginning of the game: they clearly made a big shift from packs (which targeted the whales) to Battle Passes (which are cheap, and target the everyday player who is reluctant to spend much money).
Look where they are putting their energy and resources: getting small amounts of money from many people, rather than large amounts from the few.
And no, not everyone has relics, unless you’re only playing high PS where you would expect to see them. And many of those players are veterans who spent years playing CW, and got their relics that way.
As far as the game being easy to fix, again I would remind you that we all have contradictory theories of how to accomplish that. I do not agree that it’s easy to please everyone (or even possible).
Every update hovers aren’t nerfed the stronger, more toxic and op they become. The hover meta has not stopped for a single day
Especially the meta now.
people who have money and spend it to win, on either relics or dog builds (or whichever meta is currently the strongest)
its a good change but it brings overall monetization nowhere close to acceptable.
there is still p2w, and there are no alternative strategies that would be much better for the game (like cosmetics)
considering the price of relics, a pretty gigantic percentage of high PS players have relics
its easy to please everyone with one caveat. you might lose players who want to pay to win
at least there is something to talk about, these mid updates would bore the forum to death
Tbh every game is p2w, well at least 50%.
Take escape from tarkov as an example, it’s has p2w features…
But yeah p2w is annoying especially to me who rarely ever has extra to spend.
But the biggest issue is solo quers going up against teams, worse when its p2w clans.
Either way p2w + teaming = free wins and little to no skill required.
many are, but there are also successful games without p2w.
p2w is only for stupid developers who want quick money and their game to die.
take fortnite, roblox, cs2, etc… theyre the biggest games out there and have no p2w
fortnite is one of the biggest joke of a company out there. they lied to the british house of lords saying they dont make money off their game and off their microtransactions and were caught with their pants down so to speak. the house of lords called them out and said “your game isnt a charity, you need to make money off your game otherwise how are you able to keep it going right?”. its why i never touched fortnite, if they are going to have their representatives lie about their game and how it makes money then i have no respect or desire to play their game. im betting they teamed up with EA to lie but i cant be to sure. though they both are sleazy companies so it wouldnt surprise me.
unrelated but my sisters son loves fortnite.
The amount of money WASTED ON SKIN…
The kids doomed.
At least with crossout real money give us stuff.
Skins are absolutely useless. Cool to have everyones different
But i just wanted to rant on kids wasting money on useless skins.
My sister has spent at least a few hundred on him just for skins as an example.
No point to my comment. I just don’t want kids getting hooked on skins of all things.
CSGO is different at least, can sell them etc. My steam account was hacked long ago tho… Probably Never again with steam
only thing i’ll add…
Crossout has stuff to do and work towards etc.
Fortnite… Same bs every game. No point except to waste time. Enjoyment sure but accomplishing nothing
Also i hate the graphics.
I have no issues with skins, the new Simpsons ones look cool. I’ll still never play tho.
I just don’t like kids becoming addicted to micro transactions etc. not healthy spending habit.
this is bad, but its more of a problem with parenting than with gaming.
p2w is similarly bad, but its usually adults with more money who do it, but that doesnt make wasting money better.
regardless, my point is that skins are better than p2w, but im not saying being addicted to microtransactions is good, whether or not you get tangible benefit ingame
