Engineers + Lunatics = rational madness! New features of the major November update. Part 3

Part 1

Part 2

Hello, survivors!

This is the final entry about the new features of the upcoming season. In this part, we’ll talk about the legendary shotgun and new epic movement part, an air cushion! Let’s dive in.

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary shotgun “Shredder”

Do you like the “Arothron” and “Parser”? The Lunatics decided to create their own version of a long-range shotgun and came up with something that literally shreds enemy cars to pieces.

The new shotgun has a built-in shredder, which grinds up various scrap metal (just don’t ask the Lunatics where they got it from…) and fires a cluster of eight pellets with a wide spread. As it fires the “Shredder’s” rate of fire increases.

The weapon perk works when shooting at a distance. The farther away the enemy is, the stronger your shots will be. For every 1 meter to the target, the damage of the “Shredder” will increase by 5%. Sounds dangerous.

Epic movement part: “MVP Torpedo” air cushion

You couldn’t even tell that the Engineers invented something that can be used as a movement part. But this cushion isn’t called a torpedo for nothing!

The new movement part offers particularly smooth movement across the Valley. However, its movement direction is not tied to the camera, and one of the mechanical features to consider is that if you activate the handbrake while driving, the “MVP Torpedo” reduces the strafe speed of the armoured car rather than stopping it completely.

The movement part perk makes the armoured car sturdy at high speeds. Starting at 80 km/h, the “MVP Torpedo” increases the damage protection of the armoured car. The maximum bonus of 35% damage protection is accumulated at 115 km/h.

Structural parts of the new season

You can try out the new Battle Pass parts for free in a themed brawl that will start on the day of the update. Don’t miss it!

This entry concludes the series of publications about the new season. You can learn more about all the rewards and new features in our livestream, which will take place next week. Stay tuned for news and good luck in battles!

I wonder how many times it stacks (i.e longest possible shot from it).

Sigh and we have so many small maps…

I’m hyped, even if the only thing good is the cab and movement part.
The rest we’ll just have to wait and see.

I wish lol.

Anyone want to guess what this means? Sounds like it doesn’t use the camera steering option that the other strafing parts have, but is still capable of strafing.
I am hoping this doesn’t mean that console players will have to use the old L3/R3 method for strafing, as my hands can’t handle that anymore. But I can’t think of any other way it would work.

Regardless, it’s always nice to see an item added to the game that players have been asking for.

I think it means it uses the old system unlike the other omni parts. As for the handbrake, it sounds like when holding the handbrake active it will strife slower. This makes a little sense why they would pair it with the aggressor cab that has a bonus that requires it to go straight.

I suspect you are right, which unfortunately will mean I won’t be able to use them much.
My hands just can’t handle pushing in those joysticks for extended periods.

What I was hoping is that they would steer like a normal wheeled car (or tracks), and that strafing would be activated by hitting the handbrake and then turning, which could also explain the slower strafing.

holy crap this thing is gonna go fast! O.o

wouldnt be lunatics without a shotgun eye roll

you perplex me. so you hate hovers yet this is literally a hovering part and your excited for it? it even goes FASTER then hovers to and will, at least what it sounds like and looks like in the video, have better manoeuvrability then hovers…

god i hope not…

I’m definitely getting this battle pass.
I’m hyped for the Torpedo hovercraft.
and the cab will be nice.
as for the 3 weapons, i’m not as hyped for. but we haven’t seen them in action yet so we’ll see! but there’s something for everyone, Crossbow, Hybrid mg, and this shotgun. the hybrid interests me the most currently. it just looks terrible lol.
i just hope the MVP torpedo craft is cheap \ affordable. if not i’ll use all my coin (5k) but I definitely need them

We’ll have to see.
My guess is it will Feel like ice driving.
I’m not convinced this will be better than hovers. But if it is great :joy:

The prices of spread stabilizers went up early this morning. lol

figured as much lol.

Heh, land hovers. Could be neat but the no camera steering and stuff might be either really good or just outright doom the part even before it gets out. Depends how it moves/handles. Nice speed though

The shotgun, I dunno depends on just how much Arothron is in the mix, I imagine it’s a charge2fire weapons where you “grind up” as you hold the button and then when you let go, you fire. If it needs the same kind of positioning precision as Arothron and becomes useless at close range then rip to that gun as well.

I dunno, I like the theme and vibe of this pass, but the parts themselves just aren’t impressing me at all, I already dislike using the Varun by how it functions so a legendary Varun is still going to use the same firing mechanism to play and be just as tiring to use. Legendary arothronparser, I’m just going to be equally frustrated as I am playing Arothrons where suddenly every enemy facehugs you every match and you never can fight properly. Switching mode minigungrenade sounds just the kind of fiddling with perks that I dislike with BWC warrior and Manitou and a few other parts as well. Landhovers, if they are very slippery, then those are not gonna be fun either because slippery wheels are already a death sentence to a build.

Honestly the only part in this pass that screams “buy me” is the part not really tied to the theme and honestly just slapped onto the pass just to sell it (the module that reduces weapon charging time). Just kinda…meh impressions. Feels like they ran out of steam.

If only people would use their brains, but i’m well aware humans aren’t smart.

This is not remotely comparable to op hovers lol.

Yeah we haven’t seen it yet, but the size is proof enough Hovers will still be better.
But i can’t say with 100% accuracy.

And don’t worry! Hover never get nerfs but this most likely will
