Ravagers around the corner. New features of the major June update. Part 1

Hello, survivors!

“The New Frontier” season is about to end. All this time, the Ravagers and their leader Aris have been experimenting in the depths of the “Cradle of mind”. Thanks to the protection of the Founders, they were able to make significant progress towards awakening the new mind. Nobody has realized yet how it will affect the balance of forces in the Wasteland.

The Ravagers return to the Valley with a bunch of unusual weapons and modules. This first devblog entry will talk about the new legendary light cabin and the new shotgun, as well as new sizes of frames. Let’s dive in!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary light cabin

The Ravagers have developed an interesting light cabin that is perfect for those who like precise shooting at long distance. Thanks to its features, you will be able to make powerful shots at distant enemies, and easily change your position if you get spotted using the high maximum speed of the cabin.

The cabin passively increases the penetration ability of weapons. The perk is accumulated with medium to long range hits. After a full charge of perk, you can activate it and temporarily increase the penetration ability of your weapons even more. So much so that this is the first cabin in the game that will allow you to raise the penetration ability of your weapons above 100%!

This cabin would work best with some sort of sniper weapon. Who knows, maybe the Ravagers will provide something suitable. We’ll see in the next blog entry…

Legendary shotgun

A nod to those who love spears. The Ravagers decided to add an explosive twist to the list of new features of the update. The legendary shotgun continues the “Gremlin’s” technology branch. You can probably guess its perk from the start of this paragraph.

The shotgun has an explosive at the end of its barrel. Its mechanics are similar to explosive spears. In order to charge the explosive and drive it into a nearby enemy, you need to deal damage with the shotgun. At the right amount of damage, the explosive will charge up, and then you can use it. It’s genius in its simplicity.

New frames of the upcoming season

This time, the update will bring you standard and heavy 2x2 and 2x5 frames, as well as an L-shaped 4x8 frame.

Please note that after the season ends, you will be able to get the new frames at a workbench for Engineer badges. This also applies to frames introduced in the current season, “The New Frontier”.

So the Founders are as corrupt as Lloyd turned out to be. Doesn’t really seem to fit the story line, but whatever. Kids, let this be a lesson: never trust an old hag whose daughter is a butch and wears men’s clothes.

New cabin looks cool but penetration…Overpenetration is a thing (your avalanche shot does 40 damage to the enemy and flies right through it), and I bet that this cabin can make some weapons do this. And no the other hand, i already hate how so many weapons (ranged) are already just turned into shoot into center of mass with Falcon perk rather than any genuine aiming. Not to mention Commit is already a pain in the ass, if they nerf it, by tweaking the penetration stuff, this cabin just nullifies the nerf. At the top of my head can’t really be too excited, it could have some use but it feels kind of like a whatever-cab, like many cabs. The perk could even work against many guns rather than helping them.

New shotgun, Gremlins are already awkward to use with the ram first to boost shooting damage perk, but this one is kind of a reverse of that, where you need to deal shooting damage first and then do an explosion ram. It could be either a better gremlin than the gremlin, or equally awkward as a gremlin. Sounds more interesting than the cabin, but not by a whole lot

both parts look cool though

I dig the look of the new light Ravager Cabin.

I am crossing my fingers and hoping that they will make legendary mech legs with the Ravager vibe. (Not sure what the ability should be on the legs)

The other weapon I am hoping for is a weapon like a laser that behaves like an autocannon.

Can’t wait to see more structure parts with the Ravager Vibe!

Really glad to see the Ravagers are back in town!

How about…the knee is double-jointed and can swing higher when going forward, and kick the butt of the guy in front of you! Combine that with a new soccer-ball-shaped mine that you kick around the battlefield, which detonates when it comes in contact with an enemy, and it’d be a winner!

idk if anyone noticed this but this cabin looks like a spinal cord on the right side. it looks like a spine coming up over the cabin and then the smaller part look like ribs. am i the only one who noticed that?

i mean… im glad they are continuing a line of shotguns rather then make a new one.

these look so adorable with how small they are :sob:

if you think thats bad imagine the scorpion… or rather any weapon with 100% penetration… can you imagine the avalanche with over pen and with 90% penetration on it? YEESH!
cannons will be deadlier to but on a light cab its not made for that so… :man_shrugging:

it steals your SOUUUUUUUUL!!!

… jk lol. :joy:

Wait, wasn’t the main problem with Nests originally that they penetrated too deep into a build somehow and did too much damage like that?

This new cab might be fun with Nests then. Unless no fun things allowed and instead of giving penetration to guns that do not have it, it just boosts already existing penetration capabilities of guns, in which case it’s even worse and more limited than I originally thought.

Do Nests have penetration? Does explosive damage penetrate at all? I do not know, but it does not feel that way because explosions feel kinda lacking in power in general

Seems like the implications are the ravagers are going form an enemy of all to a faction which can make alliances.

Nothing worth noting unless the FOMO balancing a.k.a. hit-scan strip is reverted.

do you got nothing better to do then to spam this stuff?

block me then. I’m calling these predatory FOMO tactic out with reasons that somehow your redditor mindset refuse to take in.

i already know about that stuff but complaining about it here isnt going to do much.
you should take it to reddit and try changing their minds instead.
seriously though spamming that stuff isnt going to do much as alot of us already know. :man_shrugging:

from the replies of those “spam” memes, a lot of people here still don’t.

I’m also reflecting the feedback on their twitter, just to note.

Until then.

Block Ichiro, the guy is dumb as hell.

A while ago I started blocking people who spam the forum with repetitive threads and comments, and it has greatly improved my experience here.

I feel like you used to occasionally post like a normal functioning human, so I’d rather not have to go that route with you, but I think I’m going to have to soon.

so what is spamming the forum with memes and spam going to do about it?
the only thing it will do is get the community to dislike you and block you.
we get your message, we get what you are saying, but spamming the forum with multiple posts on the same subject is not earning you any favors or respect.

he has created more then 4 posts on the same subject spamming memes and stuff about hitscan wanting to come back. i am quite close to blocking them as well.
