Ravagers around the corner. New features of the major June update. Part 2

Part 1

Hello, survivors!

Let’s continue to learn about the new features of the upcoming Ravagers season. In this entry, we’ll talk about the legendary pulse accelerator and the eerie epic movement part consisting of many legs. Let’s dive in!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary pulse accelerator

In the first entry, we told you about the light legendary cabin that is perfect for long-range fire. The Ravagers have prepared a suitable weapon for it, which will allow you to wreak chaos and destruction without getting close to your opponents.

To activate the accelerator’s perk, you need to hit enemies twice in a row from a long distance. After that, the weapon’s projectile is replaced with a special one.

When it hits, this special projectile attaches itself to the enemy and periodically damages all enemy cabins within a certain radius. Note that if the cabin has 25% durability or less, it will not receive periodic damage.

After the damage phase, enemies within the radius will no longer see other players on their radar for a period of time.

Epic mechanical legs

It’s a shame when you’re using “ML 200” or any other legs, and one gets destroyed in battle. You have to hobble along and suffer until the end (which is not always a victory). The Ravagers have created a unique movement part that can keep your build firmly on its feet even after a fierce firefight.

One copy of the new movement part has two legs. That’s why a lot of them on a build may remind you of a centipede. The key feature is regenerating durability after a certain amount is lost. For example, if the movement part absorbs some damage, then only one leg will be disabled, while the second one will continue to function. After a while, the disabled leg regenerates and you can use it again.

Of course, if you lose both legs, you will fall to the ground. But after a while, the legs will regenerate, and you will be able to walk again and scare every arachnophobe you meet.

Structural parts of the upcoming season

That’s all for now. See you in the last entry, coming soon. Stay tuned.

Star Trek never had anything like this! :open_mouth:

Such an ability like this could be adapted to human use, and put a stop to MPB (male pattern-baldness). :unamused: At least I’ll be able to make a build that looks like a caterpiller! I just have to decide which species…

We need more low-level tech in the game…how about a simple cammouflage tarp that lets me disguise myself as a boulder, so no one shoots at me?

still lame to me lol but atleast we finally get legendary scorps

So when someone gets hit they are going to damage everyone else round them. That sounds… bad :sob:

I guess not many people stay in a group anyways, so it shouldn’t be THAT bad. :unamused:

The legs sound really cool though!! :open_mouth:

my stream looks clear except my cam but running 1080p stream lags but came is clear lol

The new legs look fun, although mainly because of the visual appeal of a many-legged beast.

Pulse accelerator should be interesting, although I’m not a good enough sniper to make good use of it. I’m more interested in how it may disrupt some of the current metas and dominant team strategies. It’s good to have various ways of punishing teams that stay grouped up, as it’s arguably the most common successful strategy in the games I play.

I want those legs.

Neat looking parts, though the thing I am most excited about for the next season is nerfing the commit hopefully

No big opinions on any of the parts, both sound ok and…that’s about it. The railgun could potentially have some infuriating factor with the shot change, like you take 2 shots at an enemy, and then instead of finishing the enemy off you do the special shot but don’t kill the enemy you’d have killed if the shot was normal. Unless it also does normal damage on hit rather than the special shot damage being periodic damage that does nothing at 25% or below health.

New legs, kinda sound ok but I don’t think they’ll be that hard to deal with or any levels of super OP, it’s just another spider (centipede) leg. It all depends on this whole regeneration factor, but even at best they’ll be somewhat beefy legs. Unless they’ll be op, then they’ll get Titaned after the pass anyway.

Not that must-have wow’d yet. Better offering of parts so far than the Founders pass but still kinda meh. They’re ok and yeah, they’re ok. That’s about it

More Solidworks AI generated slop. Game is starting to look like shit with all the ravager stuff. This industrial HR Giger aesthetic ain’t it Targem.

I dunno man, a lot of us like the ravager stuff. And I’m not sure why you think those parts are AI generated.

i could see this thing being very VERY overpowered or very underwhelming. i mean a legendary version of scorpions is always welcome but man this is just… idk about that ability.

these do look neat. im wondering how they are going to function though. like can they still be shot off a build? how long or short will they be?
i really wish we had pivoting frames to make it look like an insect. that way when we turn its like a millipede turning. would make for some really creative builds to. pivoting frames could be cool but idk how they would make those work. still i cant wait to see how these function.

Pivoting frames are actually old technology. They started with Mallet locomotive steam engines to allow longer wheelbases to turn on curves without derailing or ripping the tracks up. It’s called “articulation”. They’d be cool to have here!

The legs kind of look like fangs on a Tarantula. Cool but kind of creepy!

or a centipede or millipede. i imagine having a bunch of them on a build making it look like a loooooooong bug. its why i wanted segmented and pivoting frames to make it look more bug like. being able to move left and right and whatnot. it would be cool / creepy! :sunglasses:

It sounds like they can only be temporarily destroyed, although you’re unlikely to survive long enough to regenerate legs if you can’t move.

I’ve been wanting something like that forever.
It could work as a cabin that can rotate on its base. Or a module that mounts on to the frame that you can mount any cabin onto.

Edit: I just realized you meant more like a trailer hitch articulation, which is also something I want.

Ideally it could just be a pivot joint we can attach frames to.

yeah so instead of swinging your whole build around you can just pivot the front to look to the side and shoot. i had the idea of trailer hitches to in the past to drag a little wagon of sorts behind you. it would be a support thing where you can put repair drones, a gun or even a pair of guns on it. the only downside is it being stationary and cannot move. it also cannot function unless its placed down.

unless you have multiples of them. im curious though as to how big they will be.
