I was thinking I commented on the cannon but then realized I never made the post (I was in a hurry at the time)
Cab, not super interested, looks really nice though, some people can find a way to cheese it up for sure like the ermak but I just am not big fan of heavy cabins with damage resistance perks, my machinist and cohort just sit in my inventory doing absolutely nothing. New frames really neat.
The cannon, very interesting, but at the same time, depending on how the perk activation works it could be a bit of a dealbreaker. Having to hit an enemy first with the cannons (depending on if all three are needed to land or if just any hit will count) is a sensible downside, but the switching of the perk is what I am worried for. If it’s completely manual, that works the best I imagine, but if it’s a forced switch, like land shots and then after the gun reloads it’s automatically in mandrake mode, that can lead to infuriating situations where after you initial shots, you could finish off an enemy etc if you had the cannon mode, but end up missing because it switched to mandrake mode
But on the other hand if the “mandrake mode” has the firing arc of Jotuns/incinerators, then it’s not a problem. It has huge potential but that potential can also be fumbled up into being a clunky awkward pos
Another worrysome thing is how the mode switching is implemented, like if the gun first needs to land shots and then gains the ability to switch modes through charge to fire mandrake mode, that too would suck because I am just not a big fan of any hold button for X time to fire weapons due to general state of the servers, and how long or short you are allowed to hold the “maximum charge” before you’re forced to fire can for sure completely kill off this gun from being viable
