The Founders are in play again. New features of the major March update. Part 3

Part 1

Part 2

Hello, survivors!

Let’s continue talking about the new features of the upcoming Founders season. In this entry, we’ll share some information about the legendary shotgun and epic wheels, as well as reveal the new map and something very special: animated effects for your player profile. Let’s take a look!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary shotgun

The Founders love unusual shotguns, and the famous “Parser” is a prime example of that. This time, they have a curious double-barreled one for you. It would be perfect to fight off hordes of demons.

The new shotgun makes two controlled shots before reloading. As you deal damage, it charges the perk that will allow you to deal massive damage to the enemy.

When the perk is charged, the shotgun switches to the second shooting mode, in which you fire from both barrels at the same time. You can take several shots and reload in this mode. By the end of this barrage, the enemy will have little durability left: the perk not only allows firing from both barrels, but also increases the damage and impulse of the weapon. You will be pleased as your opponents find themselves in the world of hurt; just don’t miss.

Epic medium wheels

Have you ever dreamt of looking down on your enemies? And we’re not talking about literally looking down from an armoured aircraft. The Founders have a way of rising above everyone else with the new special epic wheels.

The new movement parts can rise and lower as you command:

  • the standard “high” suspension mode can help you with viewing the battlefield from a higher point, and also increases your resistance to all incoming damage. Your cabin will get a penalty to power in this mode, but knowing when to switch between modes will allow you to bypass this limitation.
  • the “low” suspension mode has your armoured car at the same level as the other typical vehicles, but the power of the cabin becomes significantly higher. This is a perfect opportunity for those who like firing from a long range and quickly changing positions when trouble comes their way.

New structural parts

Animated profile frames and updated game activities UI

The upcoming update will bring a rework of the game activities interface. We won’t spoil much, but here is an example of our vision for the leaderboards:

There will be many various improvements to the interface, for example:

  • The ability to quickly switch between leagues, search by players’ nicknames and clan names;
  • The ability to click your own nickname and make the list center on it with no more scrolling to find yourself in the table;
  • The “Battle for uranium” description is now located in the “Clan” tab instead of the “Select mode” window.

And that’s not all! The full list of changes will be published in the patch notes.

We are also introducing a new type of profile customization: animated effects! Those beautiful accessories are not so easy to get. The effects will be given as a reward for high positions in the leaderboard of the “Battle for uranium” event.

The frames will not stay with the winners forever, and each season will have different effects among the trophies. The process is as follows: take a high place in the event and receive the frame; but when the next “Battle for uranium” ends, the frame will disappear from your account. To constantly display a gorgeous profile design, you need to steadily hold high positions and prove your status. Here is a preliminary assortment of the frames, but remember that they can still change:

P.S. You may notice that the frames have different visual styles depending on their level

Here is an example of a player profile with the effect:

Please note that these are not the final versions of visual elements yet. Some elements may change during the development process.

New map

The secret facility hides something even more secret and very important for the future of the entire Wasteland and the history of the Crossout world. You can learn more about the new battlefield from the upcoming location panorama, which will be published after the release of the update.

But we can still reveal one fact: this map will be the first truly two-level battlefield in Crossout!

This entry concludes the series of posts about the new season, and you can find out about all the rewards and new features on our livestream before the update, which will take place next week. Stay tuned and good luck in battles!

New shotgun, eeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not really, not really interesting or interested based off the description, I don’t like shotguns to begin with but it could maybe be cool, but it just sounds like a mashup of stuff we already have in the game and brings nothing new or exiting to the table

New wheels, kinda cool I guess, don’t really think I’ve ever ran into a situation where I needed to lower or rise my build but it could have some use in someones hands. Would be kinda cool on undermounted yongwang builds honestly but you can’t undermount it anymore so there goes that idea. Looks cool but can’t really see a reason to must-have them. Someone will surely find some cheese with these things though like always

Oh no new ui “upgrades” oh no not again no, no no no

Animated frames to grow your crossout-penis with meh who cares, even as gloating items the “competitive” side of this game is comptely devoid of any skill and usually for the cheesiest never plays solo-type of people with maximum auto-aim always on, endless wallets pumping money into the game and just abusing whatever wonky physic or blatant meta strategy or part that everyone and their mother uses. It’s like walking around with a massive L on your shirt and I already know the type of people who most likely will go for these every week or whenever this uranium nobodycares happens, the type you’ve had blacklisted since years ago because they really think people need to hear their pro opinion about everything all the time

They look cool though but what they are associated with in general just makes me roll my eyes

All in all the founders season looks somewhat promising, but not as exciting as the syndicate one. Out of all the parts I’m pretty much only excited about the cannon and everything else is a big meh, though I am hopeful towards the ballsackstas hard pipe piping shooty shooter crossbow flat as a washboard gun, but skipping the season all together is my primary plan I really do not feel like acquiring these parts as a must have, and am still as burned out on the entirety of how this game is being handled since years ago and taking part in this last season, I’m starting to feel like opting out of any “required and must” grind is the way I want to play this entire game

BUT the looks of these pats are top notch, what it comes to visuals (and general looks of founders parts and builds and the overall theme) I could not be more erect even if I tried

New map, looks open enough and can’t be any worse than new fuji. God I hope it’s a good one

why do they continually toy-ify this game, everything looks like its made for little RC cars at this point. there is never just a new normal thing, always some absurd design or playstyle. and each map, whether new or old, looks the exact same like some sort of arena instead of a natural and interesting playing field

Looks like it might be an interesting update. New maps are always appreciated (except the last one, the New Fuji map, which is a cluttered dogpit). I still enjoy shotguns from time to time, so this one might be interesting. The new wheels will be a boon for snipers hiding behind rocks. Time will tell.

Now if they would only bring back the larger maps into the bedlam rotation…

Why Didn’t they just fix bigrams?

And ANOTHER legendary shotgun… Thanks but no thanks.

Nobody even uses Hammerfalls anymore but we need a new legendary shotgun? And, don’t we have enough epic wheels? when will they make legendary wheels?
I’m glad they’re putting out a new map but what is a “true” two-level map?
The Founders is probably my least favorite faction. Firestarters and Lunatics need a new season.

I personally like Founders (especially their structure parts) but my favourite Battle Pass was definitely Doomsday Cars - the one based around all three advanced factions. There were multiple cabins, weapons, various structure parts and cool CKs. I would love to see more of that.

I’m disappointed that the wheels are medium. I wanted wheels that were at least as big as Bigfoots with adjustable suspension, and fear that these are too small for the look I wanted.

Oh well, they may still be useful for tilted builds and a few applications where being tall is useful.

In their high or low mode?
If the former - that might still be the case. If the latter - well, the high mode in that case would probably be higher than legs. That might have been a tad too extreme.

If you could raise up one end mandrakes would be able to shoot at your feet.

It’s less about the height, and more about the size of the tire.
I want to make monster trucks with jacked up suspension. Medium size wheels just aren’t going to be big enough for that look.

That might trigger the sideways mandrake damage reduction though.
But definitely worth a try!

THEN WHATS THE POINT!? nobody cares to show off their stupid animation just to lose it!
dont get me wrong, i like the idea of animated frames but if they are temporary and not permanent then there is no fricken point in having them!!
“ohh look at me everybody im second place in clan wars! somebody please care about this useless animation that i will lose by the next week!”

i like how it looks at least.

so they are like scissor lifts? i mean it is interesting and i think they would be fun to use. might give these a spin to see if i like them over bigfoots. for me it really depends on their height and size.

dont get me wrong i like how the shotgun looks but another shotgun is just a no from me chief… so yeah im in the same boat as you.

i truly thought they were going to make a set of legendary wheels that were bigger then bigfoots like those big construction wheels on the dump trucks. im sad that they didnt cause those big wheels woudve been fun to ride around on.

i thought the same. i thought they were going to be the big dump truck wheels but sadly that isnt the case.

or maybe incinerators to aim more down? even though they can aim further down with the small buff they got before.

looks ok though id want to do some exploring on the map in the bedlam mode to see everything.

Ok going to post here for reasons I keep seeing people say “why do these look like they are made for childen? What do they think we are children?”

YES.

This game is made for teenagers, its core demographic is 12-16 year olds. that is why it is aimed at a T rating in the US 13 in PEGI countries and the equivalent in other countries.

THIS GAME IS MADE FOR KIDS! STOP COMPLAINING THAT THEY ARE ADDING THINGS THAT ARE ONLY COOL TO KIDS AND AUTISTIC PEOPLE. WE LIKE THEM LEAVE IT ALONE.

Because technicly speaking this is a digital toy designed for teenagers.

War thunder is pegi 13 and probably has at least some amount of kids playing it, and yet the game is somewhat playable. Theyre secretly using a strategy called not pushing out shit updates that targem doesnt have access to yet.
I personally dont know a single young person who would like new crossout, i think their actual demographc is older people who have lives and wont bother learning any mechanics, which is why the skill ceiling is stuck on braindead mode

I found out about Crossout from a 12 year old client at work.
So yes, kids do play it.

I wish I could go back to being hopeful and optimistic crossout child rather than a depressed and pessimistic crossout adult 7 years later
