What to expect in the upcoming update. April 2026

Hello, survivors!
Many new exciting features were added to the game over the last two months. While you continue to explore the “Playing with fire” season, compete for the Spark plugs in the “Rust & Dust”, and fill your storages with useful parts, it’s time to talk about the upcoming April update.
You can expect the return of popular favourite brawls, including the “Frontier” and the traditional “Spring mayhem”, as well as an important mass testing of new modes in classic and PvP battles. Let’s dive in!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This also applies to all visual materials.
Brawls in the update
A bunch of beloved brawls will be coming your way in the next update. The list includes the “Big Scorpions”, “Spring mayhem”, the second operation against the Ravagers, “Legends of the exhibition” (featuring a new set of armoured cars), and “Evolution”. The popular “Frontier” brawl will also return in the next update!
New but familiar modes for PvP missions
In the next update, we’ll be temporarily adding new game modes to non-competitive PvP missions for testing. You’ve already tried them out in the form of brawls, and we’ve made a number of improvements based on your feedback and the data we’ve collected. You’ll find the testing start date in the full patch notes.
The “Dangerous cargo” mode will be added to missions featuring armoured vehicles and walkers, where victory requires skilfully manoeuvring around the cargo on the map. Now, one team must escort the cargo, while the other must prevent them from doing so. There are three checkpoints along the escort route where the escort team will respawn if destroyed. If the cargo remains stationary for too long, a timer will now count down to its explosion, resulting in an automatic loss for the escorting team.
The “Precious driver” mode will be added to standard missions, in which one special survivor is randomly selected from both teams. The teams’ objective is to protect their lucky player while simultaneously eliminating the enemy team’s selected player. The “precious driver” now receives certain bonuses that make them a formidable opponent, and the scoring rules have been adjusted.
In addition, the update will include a number of other changes and improvements, as well as fixes for known bugs. And also… during the next update, we’ll be conducting the first testing of a new alternative competitive ranked mode for Crossout. This will be a big event. We’ll share the details a bit later in a separate entry.
That’s all for today. See you in future developer blog entries. Good luck in battles!
